The Twitter Discussion Thread

That's true, all tweets should be treated with suspicion, much like just about everything else in the transfer forum. But that doesn't mean we allow the threads to get spammed by adolescent crap.
So like every other thread I suppose.

Basically in the football forums yeah. But some just need more scrutiny than others, which is how its going to be.
Which is fair enough, I still feel some entering a Twitter thread and becoming agitated when seeing a tweet from a particular source need to calm down. As for GIF's and the likes, I've been guilty of that myself. Something about that thread allows users to post more casually, like transfer saga threads, which RedCafe has monitored more rigidly now too.

The Twitter Discussion thread should have little or no BS in it (by that I mean posters derailing or spamming the thread with unrelated nonsense). Most posters have been very good about keeping it on track, reducing spammy tweets, avoiding memes and youtube clips, and reporting posters who are derailing it. It should really be about Tweets and brief chats about their ramifications. A lot of posters who don't have time to spend hours a day on the site, visit the thread to get updates on what's going on, and shouldn't have to wade through all kinds of pointless bollux, which is why its being closely moderated.

Sorry, BS was the wrong term. I'm talking more about how much discussion goes on in that thread now. You've stated that the discussion around tweets should be brief but personally I feel like the discussions are getting more in depth and there are often numerous discussions overlapping one another.

Personally I think you guys are doing a good job of moderating it and its not a bad thing to have multiple random discussions confined to one thread rather than bumping individual player threads with tweets every time some news outlet posts a rumor.

Saying that, I can understand why some posters might be frustrated if they use the Twitter Discussion thread as a quick resource to see what's going on.
