The so called “venom” comes from him being a posh stuck up arrogant prick, I don’t like people like that. Sorry if that offends you mate it’s just my personal opinion on him. I obviously wouldn’t advocate tweeting abuse at him or commenting on his YouTube but I gave my honest opinion, He’s a public figure and don’t think he will be reading this forum. As I said I stopped watching them a while ago and just saw this thread.
Lawrence has always struck me as someone who didn't give a feck about playing or watching football growing up but realised there's a market for it on youtube and started following it just because of that. He doesn't come across as authentic to me when he's talking about footy. Could be talking out of my arse but that's just the impression I get.
Also with regards to the PMs, complete radio silence for 4 days now. Didn't believe it at first but there's no reason he'd not say anything about it if they were fake.

I think Lawrence just like sports in general, he seems to be a bit of an all round sports fan. I don't think he's a fanatic or as passionate about the game as Geordie (nowhere near, tbh) but nor do I think he only started watching games because he thought there was a market for it. Just seems a more casual kind of fan to me, which isn't always a bad thing.
Maybe he's hoping it'll just die out? It'll be addressed in their next podcast I'm sure. Though why people seem to care so much about what a guy gets up to in the bedroom is beyond me.

I personally couldn't give a feck about this guy. He has so much hate for United it is unbelievable. I can understand Arsenal fans hate, but why the feck is a Newcastle United fan hating us? They have been flirting with relegation or finishing 11-15 as long as I have been watching the PL. Is it because they were big spenders in the 90's with nothing to show for it?

I had no idea he had a wife and kid and I watch pretty much all of his videos. I understand people hiding relationships initially when online for various reasons but if you have a wife and a kid it starts to look pretty shady that you don’t even mention it...

He's been married since 2013 and has a kid. Probably explains why he's been completely silent given his wife has read those messages.

Did he not get a divorce or something? Genuinely had no clue he was married and especially with a kid, and I’d say I’ve watched him pretty regularly for many years now. Weird, certainly never ever spoke like a bloke in a relationship. Makes it seems like he’s more of a character than a real bloke now.
Pretty sure I saw a picture of him years ago with what appeared to be his wife/partner and child. Also I think I her voice could maybe be heard in the background on of his World Cup or European Championship videos but again this was a long time back and I might not be remembering correctly.

He talked about "the wife" quite a lot back when I watched him regular in 2014-15 time. He was quite funny back then, the rants on Newcastle during the John Carver months were hilarious. I just assumed they'd split up. I've never heard him mention a kid, but I've never listened to his podcast and haven't watched him much since about 2016. His channel became more about youtube drama than it did about football. He was all over the Logan Paul / KSI farce.
I think Mark Goldbridge really being called Brent Di Casare and being a former detective in the police is weirder than any of this.
