Football players aren't allowed to make offensive and potentially inflammatory gestures to opposing fans. That's very simple. It's never been allowed and I don't think there's a league in the world in which it is allowed. It wasn't the crime of the century, but it was nonetheless a very stupid and very childish thing to do. It's just a good job the remaining league games of the season aren't important.
My biggest concern is that Rooney seems to have almost zero control over his actions on the pitch. It's either that, or he is deliberately trying to get himself bad press.

1. I wasn't attempting to wind up anybody. I don't know if you saw the thread, but I didn't even post a criticism of Rooney. I just posted what the BBC had reported and made a comment on the likelihood of a ban. I think you're just jumping on the 'he's a WUM' band wagon.

I don't know why you've suddenly developed something against me, Sultan. I can't even remember what is was we disagreed on, but I think to take a disliking to someone because you disagree with his opinion on something (or many things) doesn't do you any justice.
In case some on here are wondering, rednev IS NOT a United fan as he has never been happy with United winning and always feels the need to dig out (invent) any negative stuff about United. Please ignore him because he is just too happy if any of our players get banned or something. Don't let him do anything to spoil a happy day! He's worse than any opposition fans. To say he's just a WUM is an understatement!

I don't hate Rooney, if that's what you're thinking. I'm fairly sure it was Brad who started that one in response to me posting something negative about Rooney, just like he started the laughable accusation of me being anti-English.
I suspect he's at a United Fan Forum on a mission, for a specific purpose for sure! As to what, I can't say, but it has to be something intending to harm United, fans and the like.

I really do not need to link his posts to prove my point. I can assure you that most of the time when I saw his posts they are negative and/or being sacrastic. If he's used to be a United fan, maybe he has not loved the club any more, otherwise why would he hate our players so much most of the time?

Anyway we won today, & what's even better, 2 dodgy penalty calls, 1 red card not given YET somehow 2-1 still flattered Chelski, says it all about our performance. We were men possessed.

I don't hate anyone. The only time I've come close to strongly disliking a player of this club was when Rooney attempted to manufacturer a move to Man City, and the reason for that was because I felt the way in which he treated the club, its manager and the fans was disgraceful. I wouldn't have felt so strongly about it if I didn't support the club.
Tribalistic paranoia is not good for you. Your accusation is based on nothing more than me not having been entirely complimentary of all of the players, all of the time.
