The Third Redcafe Sheep Draft

@Marty1968 @bleezy

Sent to the committee lads as well.

I'm off to get some business done, so I won't be around for a few hours - but I won't mind if the match starts in the meantime, will be plenty of time to get some points in later.

Dont get the scoring system to be honest.....there is no draw, no win by 2 difference yet there are 3 options for a narrow win. Whats the difference between 3:2 win and 1:0 win?

@Chesterlestreet has already expanded on this. But a 3-2 is clearly the product of two fantastic attacks going hell for leather for the win in an open affair. A 1-0 is a tight, grizzly match with defences on top.

I'm guessing that, for a draw, you can refrain from voting altogether for now.

sure, thats what i did in @The Stain game but when you have so many options for a narrow win then surely you can put a draw options.

think we all understand the difference between the two but in the end, is there any difference in counting votes as both are narrow wins.....from my point of view, there are 3 options for the same outcome. Think the explanation is in new draft topic so will try to push myself into reading that :)

The draw option wasn't to be included, that was a basic premise most seemed to agree on. It hasn't worked well in the past.

As for narrow wins, yes - but they represent very different match types. Realistically, most wins are narrow in one sense or another. It would make far less sense to have three options for clear-cut wins.

As stated before, ideally there should be more options - but it's not practicable. If anything, eight may be too many.

Lastly, there isn't any difference whatsoever when counting the votes. A 3-0 vote is worth no more or no less than a 1-0 vote. The "goal difference" is only counted up in the event of a draw.

If you guys walk me through it then I'll do it.

Not sure I'd be able to walk you through it. I'd probably confuse you more  plus if you haven't before, it can be a bit of a nightmare sometimes. Thanks though!

I can do it (weekdays only!). Think I can add in a poll too.

I wouldn't mind setting up these threads if you guys are cool with that.

I'm ok with it if @Stobzilla is around to send his stuff over to you guys.

I'll be on holiday for the next 2 weeks, will check back once a day, but won't be able to check as regularly as before, so apologies in advance for being slow in the reinforcement round...

1 to go. Unless @Joga Bonito makes a sharp appearance.

I will aim to start reinforcements on Wednesday 23rd.

I'll be able to pop round to check on things myself, but it's a very busy time generally. Maybe worth considering taking a Christmas break, as it were, after the final match(es). Do reinforcements post Boxing Day, say.

Just a thought. We're not in a hurry, after all.

I was just about to ask about the matches that remain. If it is difficult to start them off, I am sure that most of us are happy to volunteer our time to keep things ticking on. I would hate to see this draft die off due to a lack of interest.

Tbh, one of the mods should put this match up anyways, even though results do not matter. It would help @Invictus get some comments on his team for reinforcements. Just create a formation of Joga's and put it up against Invictus's. Doesn't even need any write up from Joga.
Well I'd rather see the game played regardless, without necessarily each manager writing a thesis for their side. But of course a manager or volunteer needs to be around, especially for any reinforcements that follow.

Yeah I'm easy either way. Don't want to lose momentum, but no point in taking some forward with half of the managers.

For sure.

I'll put up a graphic of Joga's side here later. If Invictus is OK, you can set up a match thread for comments purposes.
