The Third Redcafe Sheep Draft

Give them all a sheep and let's get on with the draw.
You do know that the team with the most sheep is to be removed from the competition and replaced with an XI managed by the Sheep Committee and drawn from the riches on the Blocked List.

@Gio how many left? We're going through some in depth, scientific methods to determine whether we go standard or completely mental in our tactics.
By that, I mean we're flipping a coin again

Just you. But no pressure, ain't that right folks?

Ronaldo
Ronaldinho -- Messi -- Best
Matthaus -- Rijkaard
Faccheti -- Baresi -- Beckenbauer -- Burgnich
Meier

A little incompatible CB pair, but to give other managers a chance.

Monster of a team. Falcao there is a bit overkill, though. Replaced with Didi?

I'd go with an unorthodox Dutch style 3-3-3-1 for the blocked players team. Rijkaard can drop back when necessary.

.................Ronaldo..............
..Cryuff........Platini......Best...
..Edwards...Rijkaard..Matthaus
..Maldini......Baresi......Burgnich..
.............Sepp Maier................

No place for Kaizer and Messi.

Fecking luckers.

Edit: Haha, meant for match thread re Fellaini's header that was cleared on the line.

That's the results in. I'm just finishing my dinner so will post them in a few minutes.

Can we discuss the game here? I feel like it can't be discussed anywhere else because of stupid people and those who can't handle their emotions.

Thank god we got our picks. I don't think I could deal with two fails after that result.

My top 5 first picks all got picked. Only 2 players I even considered that didn't get picked at all. Think this round was even tougher than the penalty one.

@RedTiger I don't want to derail the thread without permission.

A few coups in there and some tasty combos for the more sensible folk.

Not a top tier keeper but happy enough with a long term France international.

@Gio

As @Snow requested earlier, can we discuss the match here? I too don't want to be involved in the trash that is in the rest of this forum.

Crap, I should have gone for another pair. That probably is better than (at the very worst equal to) what I currently got from this round.

I'd say Chester won that round though with a GOAT goalie (given the circumstances) and an excellent and versatile pick in Bessonov. Love Tuppet's picks as well.
Yeah Chester's picks are excellent here. It was the classic keeper/full-back combo folk normally leave till the end of a snake draft but with the quality of a mid-draft pick.

But you got Seaman. Be happy with that. I should have gone for a different final and block MJJ. Would have been the safer choice.

SHEEP ALLOCATION: WILLIAM 'FATTY' FOULKE

Isotope has requested a big, strong and handsome sheep and who better than legendary tubster William 'Fatty' Foulke.

SHEFFUfoulke3.jpg

According to one contemporary account, Foulke could punch "the ball well over the half-way line." He was also described as "a leviathan at 22 stone with the agility of a bantam".

SHEFFUfoulke6.jpg

Howard Vincent, the Member of Parliament for Sheffield Central, commented that "our giant goalkeeper Foulke, with his tremendous smite and prodigious kick, the best goalkeeper football has ever seen."

SHEFFUfoulke11.jpg

"It is a pity that Foulke cannot curb the habit of pulling down the crossbar, which on Saturday ended in his breaking it in two. On form, he is well in the running for international honours, but the Selection Committee are sure to prefer a man who plays the game to one who unnecessarily violates the spirit of the rules."

And who else from the turn of the 19th century gets his own Youtube video, a good 105 years before the media was invented:
