20 odd million is massive money for lower teams. But yeah if they sell of some of their best players they could do it, but is it real worth it?

The teams before him couldn't afford 30M.
  1. Bolton Wanderers - Value of whole squad (ignoring Serdar and the loaned out players) is £72.5M. Subtract the value of the transfer banned players bought before sally was in charge and you'd get £29.6M. sally has made signings worth £11.8M, so have that amount in the Belotti fund and you'd have £17.8M squad value left to sell to get the funds for Belotti. Don't know exactly how much money he has, but he'd pretty much need to sell every player he has to afford just Belotti.
  2. Charlton Athletic - Value of squad £105.4M. Subtract the value of Ederson, Kolasinac and Bentaleb to get £63.4M. He can sell up to 14 players before he reaches his squad cap and would have to decimate his squad just to get Belotti.
  3. Leeds United - Iffy financial situation.
  4. Bury - Doable but don't know wages.
  5. Middlesbrough - Seem to be going down the youth rate.
 
Only reason I could afford him was selling 5 players all of whom already had bids. I've crippled the tiny squad depth I had by getting him, but... it's Belotti!

If I was Leeds, I'd probably do it by selling Immobile, Otavio, Miranchuk, Laxalt and Clichy. Then loan in Shaw or Dalbert as a leftback.

Wages out: £186k
Wages in: £120k
Net: -£66k

Squad depth would be lousy though but Leeds are struggling to get promoted right now so probably couldn't afford to bring in more players (once the season is over and they have their prize money) to get their squad depth up.

Could always sell Belotti in a few months for say Gotze, another player and a crapload of cash.
