Manchester United are pleased to announce the signing of 17-year-old Kylian Mbappe on a four-season deal. He was in attendance at last night's victory over Everton and was said to be impressed by the football on show from the home side.

Despite rumours circulating that Liverpool's Kevin De Bruyne was in attendance, footage on social media has emerged showing De Bruyne in his home country last night enjoying a break from Liverpool.

The next Martial

Before the start of January transfer window, El Shaarawy was frozen from the squad, as he already played 24 games in all official competitions, 1 game short from activate the conditional obligation to buy him outright.

Heh.

Weird to see El Shaarawy at Roma on loan

The next Martial
That stupid thread on the caf ruined my plans of buying him for Martial's price (£310k) for good luck. I had put a bid in before that thread went up but had to remove it and put in a fresh one just in case someone came in late as he ended up trending on soccerwiki for a bit. Hadn't really heard of him before the weekend but decided to sign him because of his name. He's unlikely to play much at Monaco before the end of the season due to his contract running out - with the injuries they have he was naturally named on the bench due to little other option. But should hopefully be a decent option for the future.

When I signed Martial, he was in Lyon's youth ranks and still very much unknown. Took a couple of years before he went to Monaco and started playing but his rise has been rapid since. Something similar for Mbappe would be pretty good, though keeping my expectations low for now.

Didn't see the thread, but I am aware of him after he played few minutes in Ligue 1. Heard good things about him, but I am targeting other positions

Good job signing TFM by the way. Stupid soccerwiki adding people before they even play for the first team...
Been waiting for him to be added as he looks a great prospect. Surprised it was that quick. Kind of lucky that I found the "loophole". Hard to sign EPL players in SM, especially Utd's, so I am very pleased

They're reviewing Portugal now.

Just noticed you've got Heintz. I used to have him many moons ago! https://www.redcafe.net/threads/the-soccer-manager-red-cafe-league.349538/page-361#post-12866112

Stipe PERICA (20/82 Fwd... rise of 10)
Conor MCGRANDLES (20/78 Wing... rise of 10)

Interesting to see Labidi with no rise at all. He was in same year as Martial at Lyon. Drastic change in their careers.

They're reviewing Portugal now.
Don't have any player from Portugal, but @christy87 will be looking forward to Renato Sanches' review. Currently at 78. Not sure how generous SM will be, but it should be at least +4
Just when I thought I don't have ex-Utd player anymore...

Every morning for the past forever, there's been a rating/position change message in my inbox. And every morning i know it won't be for any of my players.

Well, if they're reviewing Portugal i should (!) get a few rises:

Andre Moreira + 2/3
Nikola Vukcevic + 3/4
Danilo Pereira + 1/2

Let's hope for the best.

Dammit, had Miazga on my shortlist for an age, now look at you all. TBF, the Chelsea deal came out of nowhere. Can't compete in the slightest anymore, the financial changes have destroyed me in Div 2, can't see me getting out of the red without selling a third of my squad.

Get promoted and get a cash injection

Situation might not be that bad.

Try and do a weekly income/expenditure/balance graph like one below and post it so we can see what situation is like:

Just go to your finances and record the weekly income/expenditure (don't include the transfer money in or transfer money out though). That way we don't know how much money you don't have but get an idea how bad the situation is. I only just started to 'make' money last week after a period of losing it.
