Gaming The SM RedCafe League

In the case of Plymouth...
  • He has committed 3 violations of FFP, and that is a request to resign.
  • His first violation was clear, and so was this third one.
''If your squad size exceeds your limit, your club will be banned from transferring any players in to the club. This includes P/E deals.''
  • The second violation he argued that he was thrown off by being allowed to bid in the draft, so he thought he had allowance to still purchase players .
I think it hinges on this; If his second violation is correct or unjustified.

In the case of Liverpool...
  • He was explicitly told the deal was not allowed
  • The deal went ahead regardless, so Liverpool are at fault for this transfer as well.

    BUT
  • There are not any rules written anywhere governing if you are liable and can be penalised when selling to a transfer banned club.
I think in this case it hinges on whether you can penalise someone for going against what the authority instruct you to, or not to do, when there are no written rules on the matter.

Maybe it should go down to precedent, what has happened before when a manager made a sale to a TB'd manager, with knowledge of the ban. Has it happened before?

I think lower rated players should get higher rises to a level near their team mates regardless of their ratings. Look at Damo's Valery for example: He's 70 right, starting for a PL side even though it's been only a few games he's looking like he belongs in the starting 11. Why can't he get 83-85 even though he's only 70? They only do this if the player has won something major. We're waiting 6 months for a measly rise.. Fecking shoddy system.

The problem is all the players getting added at 70 rating. Wouldn't be an issue if they were 75-78 rated when added. 70-75 should be for division 2 clubs.

This is a big part of the problem, true.
It is a good deal for Plymouth, definitely. Just saying these are hardly players worth trying to be sneaky re FFP about.
Not worth being asked to leave the league that's for true.

Barcelona review finishes tomorrow so Longlegs will go up.

Aye, thats the real problem. I'm really not sure given we can't actively punish him due to lack of admin controls in SM.
It is pathetic. I can understand SM don't want certain admins to go powerhungry but if an admin does, then the people in the league would just leave anyway. There's a good balance between sod all powers like there are now, and giving an admin the key to everything.

The insanely talented Isco has scored a brace as United beat Real Betis 4:0. Next up: back-to-back defeats to Darlington and Sunderland.

Getting frustrating that any decent under 25 players are being mopped up by big teams time and time again leaving everyone newer with the oldies.

As for the smaller teams not having good players, look at:
  • Cardiff with Davinson Sanchez, Rodri Hernandez, Amine Harit and Aouar
  • Hereford with Ndombele and Malcom
  • Southend with Donnarumma, Joe Gomez, Upamecano, Tousart, Torreira, Havertz and Dembele
They've held on. Even Mansfield has Sancho.

I meant more being a newbie to the set up it’s already quite saturated as a market and lots of teams have stunning first XIs and excellent youth meaning there’s very little now available and about.

Other than punting on new players...

This is arguably exhasebated by those same clubs going for talents who would be nowhere near their first XI and are inferior to their youth talents yet because they have the cash they go in for them regardless.

But that is what makes this league so entertaining, at least for me. It's difficult in the transfer market, so when you do land a player or two it means a heck of a lot more.
