Television The Shannara Chronicles

What a terrible finale. Shit music, shit battle scenes and a shit plot. Ugh.

The battle scene was hilariously bad and lasted about 2 seconds.
I was expecting the battle with the demon army to go for next season but naah. And who the feck has sex when the fate of the whole world depends on you getting a seed to its place quickly enough. But nah, lets waste the night first.

And that human girl sacrifices herself so that they can run and they are stood their watching her!

and dont even get me started on that girl who let the seer out

Spend the whole season building the demon army up, only for it to last half an ep.

Well given i'm only 1 episode in should I just drop it?

First 9 eps are pretty decent, and the girls are good looking but you wont get closure with the series. So if you are the type of person for whom the ending matters more then yeah drop it. Not worth it.

Heh.

The sex scene was stupid but might have been somewhat bearable if she had gotten her tits out but noooooooo:(

The sacrifice made no sense whatsoever. She could easily walked out with them and escaped. That was stupid and done so they could setup that last scene. I'm guessing that guy she recognizes is bandon...can't think of anyone else she might recognize. Speaking of bandon...what was the point of him?

Also, why the feck did Alannon send the elf girl to some far flung place when he knew all along all she had to go was offer herself up and demons were approaching?

The battle consisted of 2 armies standing side by side until some loon jumped on them:lol: wtf!

 I knew after the waterfall scene that not a lot was going to happen on that end in this show. Is aimed more towards preteens I think.

Yeah, was so stuuuppppiiid. Like they are leaving, the troll is huge and by the time it opens the door they would have ran away. But noo, she runs back and kills two trolls while "sacrificing" herself.

I was actually thinking it will be her dad, the trolls took him from what I remember? Brandon was only their to continue season two. And alanon saying they both failed him, bitch please. You didnt even try and train him to become a druid, just kept shouting at him and you were suprised that failed? And the girl, god she is stupid. He tried to kill you, tried to kill your prince/king who you have known since childhood, tried to kill the almighty druid and you trust him? Are you really that stupid.

According to the books ( i read it while waiting for the last ep :p) you have to bath in that fire for the seed and the girl to merge. DIdnt mention it in the series though, idiots.

Dont even get me started on the battle! Such a waste.

Mmm... meh, i'll watch it then feck it. Makes you appreciate GoT a bit more I guess. :p

Game of thrones is ace, if only the fecker releases the next book already.

Ah! That makes more sense (the books bit). feck knows why they removed it then. Guess the sex scene was far too important:wenger:

That Amberley actress has only one facial expression , with the permanently shocked face, and mouth open shoeing her upper 2 front teeth, should have casted better, dont like the casting for that love triangle(that part was insanely stupid also, all the crappy romance)

EDIT: watched the last episode after my above paragraph, the last 20 min saved it from being total wank, plus its good they got Man Utd Benett in it, he plays great characters, and just makes shit better overall

I just started it, on episode 4. I just can't get into it, far too childish in my opinion. The story is simply too fast paced

Season 1 is kinda shite and childish, Season 2 is just epic proportions of shite.

I watched the lot and after early kinda promise it just went the way of all MTV shows and turned in to utter garbage, I was a fan of the rover girl Eretria (Ivana Baquero)

The story is pretty shit right? I was really struggling to keep going with it.

As said its taking some terrible source material, add a healthy dose of MTV trying not to offend anybody, throw in a little few subtle LGBT group pandering scenes while still being perfectly fine for a 10 year old. Honestly its MTV's fantasy to Tolkiens, as what MTV's Punk Rock (Avril Lavigne) was to the Sex Pistols. Pure diluted horrible puss filled wank.

Its like an 11 year old whose just discovered girls version of Lord of the Rings based in San Francisco.

That said I watched it all , same way I watched all the 2nd Silent Hill movie, just because I feel I have to see these things through (I must really hate myself deep down.)

EDIT: Never realized thinking about this would make me so angry.

Same boat, realised it was rubbish but for some reason hung in there and watched it all the way through and tend to do this with a lot of rubbish.
Was the first season Spike or MTV? Because one of them decided to stop it’s production and the other picked it up. First season at first I kinda had hope for as the evil guy seemed generally frightening, seemed to be quite a bit of gore and so on and then something happened where it just totally fizzled out. 2nd season as you say seemed like it was pandering to social awareness instead of trying to tell a good story.

MTV broadcast the first and Spike the second. The MTV one was terrible but still 100 times what aired on Spike. I think Season 2 was written for or at least with MTV in mind but they dropped all their non-reality shows.
The first 3 or so episodes, it seemed to have great potential.
and I'm still certain they only did it for the moment with the San Francisco sign, as their wow moment. The Red Wedding it ain't.

It's been since dropped again by Spike so hopefully no.3 doesn't come along.
