The Second RedCafe Sheep Draft

So, let me get this straight: Stobz never drafted Irwin? He just assumed, for unknown reasons, that he had him?

That's potentially even weirder than Irwin being drafted twice without anyone noticing.

I do what I want.

Bitches.

Okay, let's get this start. Here's again Skizzo's post:

Reinforcement round order

1. KPS88
2. Joga Bonito
3. Cutch
4. Sajeev
5. BorisDeLeFora
6. VivaJanuzaj
7. NM
8. Edgar Allan Pillow

Picks will be made like a regular snake draft. Order was determined by number of sheep. KPS is 1st since he has 0 sheep. Edgar is last as he has 3. The rest were randomized as they all had 1.

@kps88 will make the 1st pick from any of the eliminated teams. After you make your pick, tag the next person on the list. Once it reaches EAP, he'll make two picks, and it will move back up the list.

Sheep can begin to be replaced. After this round, I imagine EAP will be the only player left with a sheep (1) but that won't be a factor in the following reinforcement rounds.

After the last pick is made, the match ups will be announced. The first pick can be made as soon as KPS is around. The deadline is 12 hours per pick. No deadline for KPS pick yet since there's a game underway still. If you won't be around for your pick (Or don't think you will be) PM @Balu or myself with at least 2 or 3 picks, in order of preference, so they can be posted.

I think that should be straight forward. I'll be around later if anything needs clarifying. If KPS shows up before I'm back, feel free to start picking once the last game is finished.

edit: The draw has already been done..but won't be revealed until after the picks. Screen shot will be provided. Some cracking matches.

Hm. Well. Hard to pass up, I s'pose. Wouldn't call it a simple upgrade, though. Different kettle o' fish.

He fits into the team though, no need to change the midfield or the rightback to start him, it's really a direct swap despite both players being very different.

Yeah pretty much, despite me being a fan of Donadoni. Also, feck if I'm going to let someone get Garrincha and have him come up against Carboni.

Cutch's inevitable pick is going to make me sad looking at how good his team will be.

 Probably wise not to give away what position he was targeting.

Why did Joga go for Brehme? Did Cole get a hard ride in his game?

Nah I have my reasons, loads of em in fact. Besides how do you pass up on Brehme?

He could still go with three at the back I suppose.

Sure, but not without wingbacks, same shit really ;) Thought there was a better fit for him though, unless he wanted to have the right/left flexibility, which he probably does with Pantsil at the other end.

He needs a more attacking leftback to give his back four more balance, probably more important than upgrading Mascherano.

Breitner?
Brehme > Breitner at leftback. It could have made sense to pick Breitner to have the option to play him in midfield later though, but I really prefer Brehme for Joga's team.

Understood, could you give a more detailed explanation as to why that is the case? not that I will disagree.. just curious.
Mostly because being two-footed offers a lot more from the left, you get actual width from Brehme. Breitner was always a box to box midfielder, always more the playmaker towards the middle, even when played as a leftback. Brehme really was both and probably the stronger defender as well.

I rate the midfielder Breitner higher than the leftback as well. It's easily explained because Breitner moved into midfield before he reached his peak. As brilliant as 20-22 year old Breitner was, he got better soon after leaving the leftback spot behind. Brehme played his peak years as a footballer at leftback.
