The Second RedCafe Sheep Draft

Feck knows what I'll do. And I'm off in 10 minutes. @Joga Bonito are you picking anytime soon?
If you're off for longer and already made a decision, you could send me your picks with a back-up pick in case Joga picks one of them. Of course if you want to think about it for longer, you can use the 8 hour deadline as well.

Sounds absurd, but he was probably the most wanted man in this round  Great pick

Nothing absurd about it, most teams have distinctly lacked someone of his quality instead of the likes of Simeone and Dunga doing jobs they were never particularly good at.

VivaJanuzaj - 1. Scholes, 2. Ferrara, 3. Kenwyne Jones, 4. Figo, 5. Nedved, 6. Peruzzi, 7. Keane, 8. Dunga 9. Vierchowod 10. Crespo 11. Zambrotta 12. Berthold 13. Breitner 14. Batistuta 15. Baresi

Cutch - 1. Lobanovskiy, 2. Nilton Santos, 3. Bozsik, 4. B. Charlton, 5. J.Zanetti, 6. Gento, 7. Stanley Matthews, 8. Just Fontaine 9. Krol 10. Sadurni 11. Gamarra 12. Simeone 13. Nesta 14. Van Der Sar 15. Desailly

Joga Bonito - 1. Batteaux, 2. Hierro, 3. A.Cole, 4. Kohler, 5. Littbarski, 6. Schuster, 7. Luisito Suarez, 8. Mark Schwarzer 9. Czibor 10. Burgnich 11. Vieri 12. Mascherano 13. Brehme 14. Kahn 15. van Basten

KPS88 - 1. Dino Zoff, 2. Del Piero, 3. Bergomi, 4. Cannavaro, 5. Papin, 6. Carboni, 7. Redondo, 8. Gascoigne 9. Tigana 10. Donadoni 11. Sagnol 12. Eto'o 13. Garrincha 14. Laudrup

It sounds absurd outside the draft logic, that's what I'm talking about - for him to be picked ahead Platini, Van Basten, Puskas, Scirea, Passarella... With Simeone, Mascherano and Dunga here it was obvious that he would/should be the first choice for 3 out of 4 semi-finalists.

Two picks are too much at this stage :( Teams are loosing their individuality.

That's something you have to decide :)

Less reinforcements the better is what I prefer personally. Never like it when sides show up for the finals looking completely different to what they started as. But that's just me.
Agreed, anything else is just masturbation.

Not if the system is going to change

All your rivals are playing one upfront, a permanent back three doesn't make much sense at all, except for ensuring you can rightfully claim to be a "counter-attacking team". Be careful what you wish for.

The only teams I feel attached to are Joga's and Cutch's, both teams still retain the same character and style.. Cutch already had a GOAT feel to his side so his improvements don't take away from it whereas Joga has been slowly and solidly building up what was already a brutally strong side.

I never said the system change will definitely become a more defensive one. Baresi(apart form being a GOAT which I needed) gives my team more flexibility to play all sorts of formations.

So.. my 3 GOATs went. Fair enough. I was hoping somebody would pick Platini/Puskas and Carlos Alberto was a no brainer for Viva imo.

Almost went for Cafu instead, but CA gives me much more maneuvering between defensive and offensive setups and I have plenty of options. Plus, he's better :)

@VivaJanuzaj .. cracking looking side now. 5-2-3 or 4-5-1.. either way, it'll look pretty strong. I do think that Cutch's side is just unbelievable though - he's the one to avoid, he is so strong from 1-11.

Guys Krol @RB would he be higher rated than Zanetti?

Scirea got shamefully ignored. I kinda expected Joga to pick Scirea and play Hierro in midfield instead of Mascherano.

Brehme, Kohler, Scirea, Burgnich would have been such a brilliant defense.

Cheers mate, I have a couple more options too.
I'd rate kps as the team to beat here. Every team can go all the way here and it's a matter of lucky draw, neither team has a distinct weakness and it's just about matchups atm.

Would have been really perfect together as a unit.
