The Roland Garros Thread

I'd love it if both Federer and Nadaldon't win. I reckon an argentinian might sneak it.or maybe Ferrero.

I like watching both Federer and Nadal, but it's disappointing that there aren't any other big players coming through the ranks yet. At this rate it doesn't look like anybody else will be winning the big four for a while.

Roddick is out. the williams sisters have been pretty shockling so far. Henin is looking unstoppable. Djokovic might be another dark horsefor the title.

Other mens seeds to have fallen are: Soderling,Berdych,Blake, Hrbaty,Calleri,Gonzalez,Benneteu, Safin,Melzer, Almagro,Chela,Gasquet,

Not surprised to see Roddick and Blake out.

I don't like the Williams sisters; they care more about their clothes than the sport they're playing.

Disappointed that Safin went out; he always plays great against top competion (Federer, mostly).

Does anyone know where I could found out when Nieminen - Hewitt match will be tomorrow or at least on which field it is played. Thanks.

Today he's playing against Hewitt on court 1.

It´s the last game on court 1 today.

Mauresmo bottled it once again, this time against Safarova.

I hate her because of her grunt, and because she's overrated.

She's not THAT good looking, there are many female tennis players that look better than her.

very gay

I don't think she's that great looking either.

Kournikova on the other hand...

Jelena Jankovic and Ana Ivanovic are now both in the semi finals

jankovic beat Vaidisova. :(

We forgot to do the picks this time around. More like I didn't have the time. You guys want to do it for Wimbledon?

Why are you so sad about that?

You should celebrate about it like me :D

Nadal was immense against Hewitt, even when Hewitt fought back I got the impression it was just Nadal showing respect to the Ausie.

I think he could have done him 6-0 6-0 6-0 if he wanted to.

Bring on Wimbledon.

Maria%20Sharapova.jpg

Seriously, who cares if she won or not?

What bit of that picture isn't beautiful?

Anyways, now that all the drooling is done with, think Henin will find it tougher this time with the Serbs(?) around. She's still the best women's player by a half a mile though

Sharapova isn't all that (i'd take Kournikova anyday); she plays ugly tennis as well.

Even with the emergence of Ana Ivanović and the like, Henin-Hardenne is simply in another league to her fellow women players; i don't think they'll give Hardenne a problem though, Sharapova was never a great mover on the court and struggles with anyone who doesn't give her the freedom and time to play her forehand shot.

Whereas Hardenne covers space very well and has a near-perfect backhand as well to go with her all-round play.

Ivanović is very promosing though; think she will surpass Janković soon.

Looking forward to Federer vs Nadal hopefully; i think Djokovic has a chance to nick a set against Nadal but don't think he'll win it and with the way Federer has been playing i don't think Davydenko's got a chance.

Think that Nadal and Federer this time around might produce some fireworks; don't think Federer will get a better chance to win against Nadal than this year; he's on top form right now, as good as i've seen him play.
