Great showing by The Cat and Minnesota to get to their 3rd straight Conference Final, but this time the Lakers were too strong.
Upset in the East! It's not going to be a 3rd season in a row for Chicago in the finals, instead we'll have altodevil's Los Angeles Lakers against the Washington Wizards (with rookie Kevin Durant who is poised to overtake all of you).
@altodevil's first appearance in the NBA Final since 2003, when he won it with the Sacramento Kings. It's the Los Angeles Lakers' first final appearance since 1988, fully 20 years ago.
One massive boon for the Lakers in the run-up to the final:
Los Angeles 114-93 Washington | altodevil: 5/29/3
Los Angeles' 4th/5th best player
Los Angeles 105-112 Washington | altodevil: 4/24/3
Los Angeles 102-95 Washington | altodevil: 9/30/3
Los Angeles 101-92 Washington | altodevil: 12/26/2
Los Angeles 80-79 Washington | altodevil: 0/27/3
We're back to Cafite champions! This is altodevil's 2nd ring, joining Solius, BenitoSTARR and weetee. The Cat is still the Caf leader with 3.

Congratulations to altodevil for winning the league with the true underdogs: the 75-7 Los Angeles Lakers.
Awards
BenitoSTARR is the MVP again, while altodevil wins Defensive Player of the Year and reelworld is the 6th Man of the Year. altodevil won both Finals and Semifinals MVP.
Cafites are still dominating the awards teams, but that might change in the next few years as younger players like Kevin Durant take over. Ironically some of you may really benefit from no longer being by far the best players on your teams. You might actually win something (FAO: hobbers).
Salt Bailly and oneniltothearsenal make the Defensive 3rd Team, with BenitoSTARR on the 2nd and hobbers and altodevil leading the 1st. In All-League we've got Samid and oneniltothearsenal on the 3rd Team, Solius on the 2nd and P-Nut, altodevil, hobbers and BenitoSTARR on the 1st.
Feats
Season stats (only regular season this time, since the playoff stats are already in the playoff updates)
Observations
V.O. is the only one who played all 82 games this season
Dr. Dwayne, P-Nut and Samid have (well) over 90% free throw shooting.
reelworld had the fewest turnovers per game
altodevil is the only one with >60% shooting. He also takes by far the fewest shots.
The Cat has by far the highest 3-point shooting % at 49.1%.
Reminder: You can retire the following season if you're below 60 rating and want to start over again (with either the same or new build). Above 60 you've got every chance of being a starter for a championship team, so I won't let you off the hook no matter how much you hate Charlotte.
And of course I can still add anyone else who wants to join. Just be aware that you might get stuck in Charlotte. Or you might win 3 rings. Anything is possible.
Mario Chalmers (PG 59/70) to Minnesota Timberwolves
Michael Beasley (F 52/73) to Los Angeles Clippers
Anthony Randolph (FC 49/72) to Sacramento Kings

Derrick Rose (PG 55/71) to Cleveland Cavaliers
Marc Gasol (C 57/66) to Utah Jazz

(This is a good example of how you might be more successful as older players. You're all getting cheaper even when you're not getting worse. Old people are gross.)
