First of all, somehow I managed to write "Shorthy Phelan" instead of "Shorty Phelan". If there's a way to fix this without restarting the whole thing, I'll do that :lol:

Come to think of it, I can just make "Shorty Phelan" the in game nickname. I've already started going on holiday, so you'll have to wait till the first real update to see the proper name.

Also, I have to point out that by way of different weighting to attributes by FM and whatnot, some people look much better than others. They might be, but they're probably not. We'll see.

I was going to use Imageshack, but it was completely unresponsive to my attempts to add 25 pictures and show them all. Thankfully R.Nilsson7 told me of the beauty that is ImageBam. I haven't quite figured out how to display pictures fully in a forum, but I'm not sure it's even better. I'll use Imageshack for small individual images that I want to show for some reason, like these three, of:

ImageBam was nice enough to put all my uploaded pictures into a gallery, so you can either click on them to see them, or click on one and see them one by one there.

Also, RedCafe only allows 10 images per post, so like the other forum I'll do my updates in three posts each. Perhaps more, if I've got a lot of other pictures I want to show for one reason or another. I'm facing some quite bizarre problems in posting the pictures. It seems that no matter which picture it is, #9 refuses to display. I can post the same picture below it and it will display, but if I remove the one that isn't working, neither will the new one. It will make posting images quite a shore, but I'll just have to take it. Without further ado, here's your better selves:

His stats were definitely decreased somewhat by having 20 in both feet. I predict he'll do quite well, though I'm not sure where the Michael Owen comparison comes in :lol:

He has 20 determination though. What a determined character that Lazytov is, a shining example of determination.

Why does a double footer decrease stats?

Not completely sure why, but it's a feature of the FM engine. It means that one-footed people with great stats might not be better than two-footed people with a bit worse stats, since they won't have full use of those stats when using their weaker foot. Ronaldo, for example, is "punished" by 1) being two-footed and 2) having high pace.
 
shame you hadnt started this one day later. My birthday is today, meaning im probably effectively the oldest out of all of us in this game!

Also, i got my kit today as a present from my girlfriend, wouldve been insanely awesome to take a photo of me in it doing some ball control of some sort, to upload into FM for my player!


edit: just realised that the in-game date isnt going to be the same as the actual date. /facepalm
 
19 heading, 16 marking, 18 Tackling, 16 anticipation, 20 determination, 16 work rate, 16 strength.

Not bad at all for a 14 year old 195cm centreback.

i tried to make my character a reflection of me in real life. Good technique and first touch - im lazy as shit, but didnt want to put workrate/natural fitness TOO low because i would end up being shit in the game. Perhaps not the most effective combination of stats, but anyone can make the "perfect" player, thats no fun!

niMic, i meant are we all actually in the international U19's squad? Or doesnt that actually exist for England (or whatever)?

Ah. Well, there might be one or two, but most of us are. Some are in the U21's, and one or two have a full cap or two already (after a bit over one season).

I might do the first update today. I decided there wasn't really much worth talking about to do it yearly just yet, so I'll do a two-year update.

IF you are gonna restart this in order to include Spammy, then there are one or two little alterations i wouldnt mind making first!

I'm not sure if I could be arsed to restart the whole thing, but would it be possible to use a save game editor to completely edit a player? I could just take some no-mark fellow and have Spammy just start as a 16-17 year old (I've just finished running season 2) and change all the players stats and attributes (and name and age and nationality and the works). I know there's a few save game editors, anyone have any idea if that would be possible?

I'm not sure there's going to be an update today, as was planned. I had a bit of a massive virus/malware scare, and I've just finished removing everything and reinstalling my pirated Norton (and Norton is cumbersome to handle even when not pirated!). I won't write too much about every player for the first few updates (not a lot to report, to be honest), but it's still 23 players, and the screenshots. I'll start writing today, and it'll definitely come tomorrow.
