The RedCafe Fantasy League 2013/14

Sturridge or Soldado then? Same as mine(Soldado).

aye got Soldado. Had Soldado and Giroud from the beginning and rotated Benteke. But putting him back in now.

It's mainly my midfield and defense that's been swapped around a bit.

Made 8 changes. Ended up with this

All right as Nani didn't play a single minute, does that mean Ramsey is automatically subbed on?

My team's having a good week :D

If tomorrow goes well I might even be challenging for the top.

Yeah he will, presuming he's your first sub.

Giroud as captain was inspired it seems. I'm on 45 points atm with 4 players left. Bit frustrated by Walcott sounds like he should have had a goal or two. While Soldado shot a blank.

Got 35 points with about 5 players still to play and the Ramsey points haven't counted yet

You are aware that Giroud has just been injured this weekend right?

He's fine:
Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has calmed fears that he could miss Wednesday’s Champions League opener against Marseille through injury after limping off the pitch during Saturday’s 3-1 Premier League victory over Sunderland.

Giroud opened the scoring at the Stadium of Light after a neat first-time finish as the Frenchman got onto the end of a Mesut Ozil cross, with the 24-year-old German making his much anticipated debut for the Gunners.

The goal continued Giroud’s record of scoring in every league game so far this season, but the striker had become integral for the Gunners as they prepare for their European assault with just one fit striker in their squad.

“It is not bad actually, not as bad as I first feared,” admitted Giroud. “I got a kick earlier in the game but no-one was near me when I did it this time.

“I tried to connect with the ball a little bit too early and I caught my foot in the grass. I twisted my ankle but fortunately, it is nothing major.
“I am OK, sure I will be fine [for Marseille].”

Would RvP & Rooney in the same squad be overkill?

Rooney looks good value at £10.5M

I was looking at that, can't afford him though!

The transfer system is bullshit btw. If I try and swap Giroud out, it says I only get 8.7m for him even though his current value is 9.0m. Bah.

You get half the increase in value of the player over the time you have had him. Did must have paid 8.4M for him.

Ah I see, well I've done my changes. Although i'm tempted to tinker and endure a -4 penalty... I've decided not to start Nani, I really doubt he'll start against City and if we're ahead then there's no way he'll come off the bench.

Any thoughts on picking a Chelsea midfielder? I've had Hazard for a while but he hasn't done much and lost some value. Stick with him or go with someone else? Also, any clue on whether Lukaku is a good bet to start now that the Chelsea game is over?

Lampard still seems to be picking up the points and Mourinho has faith in him. Oscar might be the option if you don't want Hazard. As for Lukaku I figure he's a sure starter the way Everton has struggled to score goals.

You're thinking what I'm thinking. To do it I'll have to play my wildcard, early days for that but needs must...

I'm gonna go with Rooney RVP duo for the next few weeks methinks.

Thanks. Ended up playing my wildcard and getting Rooney (along with Sturridge and Giroud). Got Yaya instead of Hazard, he always shows up against us and figure he's a steady performer. I'll probably go for Lukaku once Suarez comes back.

Think picking anyone up from the bunch of AM's Chelsea have is a risk. Out of all their attacking players Lampard is probably the safest bet but even he's getting on. I already got rid of Hazard and wil probably chop Lampard as well this week
