Glad I kept my expectations in check regarding that Cena vs Cody main event. It had so much potential but just flattered to deceive in the end.

Raw after Mania was terrific. Did not see that Breakker interference coming. A very interesting stable being built.

What's the point of having Orton as the first opponent for Cena. The promos would be shit as well as the matches and we know he's not going to take the title away from Cena.

One of those situations where how you personally feel about something isn’t necessarily reflected in the majority. A lot of fans wanted one last Cena/Orton run.

There’s pretty much a bunch of guys they can put in title matches you know will never win, Orton Drew AJ

As if they are going with Orton Vs Cena in 2025 :boring:

Why wouldn’t they? Cena is retiring in less than a year. This will be the last time we see Cena/Orton, one final story and match for two people that came up at the same time and were polar opposites. The story writes itself and I’m shocked people are questioning why they’re doing it. We’ve also never see it happen with Cena playing the heel. Some people are never pleased with anything they do.

Fantastic Raw with one of the best endings I can remember. Bron joining Heyman is going to be brilliant as will him with Seth. Don’t want to look too far down the line but you can already see Bron eventually spearing the shit out of Rollins in a moment that gets him to the very top.

Backlash already look quality with possibly:

Orton/Cena
Rhea/Io
Reigns and Punk/Deadly Alliance
Becky IC title match

They’ve done well setting all of that up from one show.

He was on a push before Vince left. He's got great talent but he's been wasted under HHH. Now just goofing around with Grayson Waller. He definitely belongs higher up so I think this stable would suit him.
Oh! I thought he must have done something I had missed because I've seen so many people suggest him as part of the stable!

I called Bron getting a big push as I felt he'll lose the IC belt without being pinned and that happened. Hopefully he does well.

I'd get Logan Paul with Heyman and the Rollins/Bron stable. Though that might not be a popular opinion, I think he'd be perfect.

They'd be immediately more hated. And would have a perfect blend.

And you get Bron and Logan in a few tag matches to get their experience. Learning from Heyman and Rollins would be incredible for them both too.

Nah, feck Logan Paul.

Notwithstanding the fact that he's too part-time anyway

Orton/Cena is good for the nostalgia alone and needed to happen one more time.

With Cena threatening to walk out with the title, you would imagine that Cena/Punk is nailed on for Summerslam in a role reversal to hit that nostalgia note.

Then that leaves time for one more feud and the chance to elevate someone as the guy who took out Cena. I don’t think that guy should be Cody. Cena was very clear last night that his story was finished last year.

I think it should be Brekker, have him explode and defeat Seth at Summerslam and then win the chance to be Cena’s final opponent. Get him Goldbergesque running through everyone and everything stacked against him and spearing poor John out of existence as his final move in WWE.

Why does Netflix keep censoring when the crowd swear? Thought it was going uncensored on Netflix l?

They've got the option to but a lot of people got carried away after the announcement expecting a return to attitude-era type presentation and loads of swearing, when the reality is that the sponsors still want the association with a product that is ultimately still for kids as well.

Nail on the head. Agree with all of this!

Feels like Rollins/Cena will cross paths with how their stories are going. Cena keeps talking about taking the title with him and Seth keeps talking about what’s best for business. Rollins as champion and Bron as MITB would be an interesting dynamic and I feel like Cena is destined to drop his title, turn face properly, win it again and then drop it before he’s done.

We’re definitely getting Cena/Orton, Cena/AJ Styles, Cena/Punk, Cena/Seth, Cena/Cody II and Cena/Bron. In what order I have no idea.

Raw was a good watch. Dominik is fast becoming a favourite of mine

RAW was really good I can’t wait too see this new Bron/Seth/Heyman team it could be brilliant if done right

Bron Breaker is just too good I’d expect him to be Champion this time next year

I think you are right and I think it is probably in that order, but I think the story will take the year to play out and Bron will be the last gasp savior of the company. The way they are counting down the dates makes me think it will go to the wire and the final opponent will be the one to save the title/legacy.

Cena can easily come back out to a final tribute night and drop the act and take his praise on the way out.

I think the Cena/Orton match will just be a 1 and done thing, kinda like going through Cena’s greatest hits. I imagine CM Punk possibly challenging at SummerSlam.

My concern about this ‘ending wrestling’ storyline is that I can’t see a ‘win’ for anyone. Either Cena goes undefeated, takes the title, and the current roster is buried because they couldn’t dethrone the aging, retiring veteran over the course of the year, or Cena loses at some point and fails in his ‘mission’.

I think Cena's face-turning again before the end.

I was listening to an MMA podcast and they made a good point about it feeling like Cena playing a heel rather than being one simply because people are used to him being a face in WWE but also in real life with all the make-a-wish stuff etc.

The Cena heel turn has been handled terribly. They had a good reaction at EC but then did nothing with it and it had a flat championship win on WM. Might have been better to make him turn at WM to be honest. It worked with Hogan because it was discovered that he's just a cnut in real life but with Cena, once the shock of EC died down, it just feels a bit bland (despite a couple of good promos). I know it's all acting and I'm sure good heels like Drew are probably alright in real life but it's different depending on the person and what you know of them as a whole... It's like how it would feel seeing Vin Diesel in Downton Abbey, you know actors play different roles but this one would feel like all sorts of wrong.

Cena needs to do something drastic. Like piss on a make-a-wish child or (as I heard someone say) hot-potato the WWE Championship by doing open challenges with instant rematch clauses, where he faces jobbers, loses the title on purpose, activates the rematch clause and wins it back right away, inflating his championship wins by 10 for no reason

He could have snapped on Cody and beat the crap out of him in order to win but the whole weekend it felt like they softened on him as a pure heel and positioned him as more of a tweener who is just doing what he’s earned the right to do. Some of you might be annoyed by what he says and some of you will agree. I think they didn’t want to push it too far because they want to turn him face again before he retires for good. In the end it feels like a waste, I think this will stick out more and more with Heyman’s new faction doing full heel things.

I guess this is the issue. Either go all in or don't.

He already had the WM main event by winning the EC... turns heel... and for what? To get a half-assist from Travis Scott?

Would have been better if he went to WM as a face, was struggling against Cody in every facet of wrestling and then at the end did some heel chicanery to win the title and spent the next while trying to justify his actions and still believing he's a face.

Cena as a heel just doesn't work. He's too goofy.

I have no idea how they book his title run. He clearly can't go anymore. They should have held off until Summerslam. I like Cena but him defending his belts in main event matches is going to be a drag.

Part of me thinks that might have been a plan, have Cena turn at mania (cheat to win, after Cody is kicking out of everything), but it changed once Rock said im available, lets do it now with me involved.... and then Rock not turning up at all any time after (not even a mention except the night after by CM Punk)
If Cena had turned heel at Mania, the lowblow would have made more sense given how long it took to happen.
The promos pre-mania would have been better too with Cena telling Cody its going the same way as it did for Cena years ago, the burden, the crowd turning, etc. Him telling cody to keep going and not give up, dont take shortcuts (but then Cena does himself at mania)

Rock's reasonings are genuinely dumb as feck, "I'm a key character but I'm gonna disappear so others can tell their stories", like what the hell is that, imagine key characters disappearing mid-film or mid-tv series, and as I saw someone saying elsewhere, he really isn't as dumb as you'd like to think.... feels like there is a genuine power struggle within, TKO likely looking to put their own guys in at the cost of Triple H and his older team of creative. It's all very strange.

Unless, I mean, if it's all some genius coy and that is the genuine story they are taking us on, with Cena even retiring the older belt so TKO can have a new belt under their regime, then I mean, feck, that's some legit story telling and they can take my money even more.... but come on, no chance, or is there?

Final match will be against the rock…final boss coming back to save wrestling and save the title.

I don't really understand how people can't see that this is entirely down to The Rock.

He tried to insert himself in the main event last year and HHH has gone on record now saying he basically just turns up and takes over, particularly during those rambling promo segments he's done on Raw where no one but The Rock has a clue what he's going to say until he's said it.

Seems obvious to me that the plan was for the Cena heel turn to happen at WrestleMania, but they rushed it to happen at Elimination Chamber because that's when The Rock was available.

The EC match could have panned out basically as it did, but then the build between Cena/Cody would have been The Rock demanding Cody's soul while Cena pleaded with him not to sell out. At Mania, The Rock (and presumably Travis Scott) turn up mid-match with it looking like they're there to help Cody, only for Cena to make the most of the distraction with a low blow/weapon shot for the win.

Everyone knows it's down to the Rock.... and the Rock himself pretty much makes that clear in every interview he does about it all. Which is why it's absurdly odd, dude openly buries himself, which essentially confirms there's a real issue with HHH and any old team from Vince... or it's a story, which would be genuinely insane and likely the greatest work, given the depth, ever.

The Rock almost always says he got a call from Ari Emmanuel too to get himself out there to "help", who's the real top dog in everything.

It's a shame really. I didn't watch any of Cena as I was out of wrestling but he seems well liked and I know he was a big deal. To have his last run as this mess is a true shame. Hopefully they find a way to turn it around.
