Television The Pitt

Give it a shot.

It feels like one of those shows thats going to clean house at the Emmys. Not just for Wylie (who should probably win best actor), but also for the Directing in each episode. The way the shots seamlessly transition between different people and convos across the trauma center is pretty impressive.

I think this, Adolescence, Severance and White Lotus will clean up most of the awards. The latter two more because of how big a brand name they've become now.

Yeah, completely forgot about Adolescence. Definitely another strong contender.

Yeah, this is very, very good. As others mentioned I have an urge to binge through the whole show, but there is so much emotions packed into every episode that I often need a breather between the two. He already has experience in medical drama, so it probably helps, but Noah Wyle is smashing his role.

The only thing I don't really like are the flashbacks to Covid. I think they're a bit unnecessary. It's plenty good without them.

Yeah it feels heavy in that I watch an ep or two a night at most, and then either watch something else (usually something lighter unless its late)

I think once the opening episode mentions that is the anniversary of his mentor's death, repeated flashbacks to that and the trauma associated with it were bound to be a big part of the show.

Just wrapped up the finale and it was a beautiful end. I love that this was probably the slowest episode of the season and they felt absolutely no need to throw in unnecessary drama or cliffhangers as a hook to reel you in for the next season. Phenomenal season of television and cannot wait for December!

Only just realized the actress playing Melissa King (one of the doctors) is Bryan Cranstons daughter.

Nepotism works just fine in that industry. I was watching Tulsa King and had no idea one of the bit part cameo actresses was actually Stallone's daughter.
Tbf, this character might be a nepo kid but she did a brilliant job.

Absolutely brilliant show from start to end.

Not sure how they can possibly top it with a second season.
They are setting season 2 over July 4th weekend apparently, which has a lot of potential. Supposedly the busiest weekend of the ER in America every single year.

So Max wants a new season every year. S1 was intense and it's gonna be tough to beat that in s2, but usually s2 and 3 are good then it falls at 4 (or becomes repetitive)

Really enjoyed this show. I worked in the a&e for 6 months and that was the most ridiculous 6 months of my work life. I liked how real a lot of the stuff they showed is starting from basic stuff like Doctors trying to cherry pick cases to waiting room fights and racial abuse etc. The performances were excellent and I just really enjoyed the pace of the show.

So many great characters led by Robbie and followed by dr. King, Whitaker and head nurse Dana as my favorites.

Overall, just brilliant show. From start to finish.

Really hope she's back next season!

Just finished watching this. I hadn't shown interest in it until I read some of you folk talking about it.

Once I started I basically binge watched it. Great show

Kept bugging me who she was as she looked familiar, so did the whole Google rabbit hole with the cast.

She was in two and a half men and was married to Dennis Hopper.

Ah, I knew I'd seen her in one of the bazillion TV shows as well!
