The other winger we need, the back up for Giggs......

There was a lot of talk at the end of the season that Fortune hadn't played enough games for his work permit to be renewed - but its been all quiet since so I suppose we can presume that it was. He had a good world cup I thought too, and was definitely improved last season, although still a reserve team player only. I'd certainly wish him well if he did leave, and we'd probably get good money for him after his WC displays. Duff would be a great purchase for us without a doubt.

Then why was djordjic kicked out by sheff wed during his loan spell with them?

Man, how you guys forget CHADWICK <img src="graemlins/nono.gif" border="0" alt="[No No]" /> <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" />

Chadwick needs muscle imo before he can be considered. Too slight framed for his own good :(

I think Forlan could be a superb winger. <hr></blockquote>

he already is. question is - can he be a superb striker?
('kay, asked and answered - nice one from Antohan)

btw, in't Bode around 32-33? if yes, what does he give us as a Giggs back-up that Fortune doesn't (apart from a potential transfer fee of 4-5m for QF)?
that is, is his crossing up to it the season long, or was it just a good WC for him? what is the injury count on him - can he cope w/ the PL for a whole season, even as a backup?

Fortune has a good WC. But the problem of he is that he can play very well in one game and then go very anonymous in the next. I hope to watch more about Djordjic. Besides, how about Richardson? I know he is very highly rated. Will he be good enough to play at the senior level in the coming season?

i cannot remember him ever being seriously injured. he has shitloads of experience and has scored about a hundred goals for bremen in his career. he could also play up front and is pretty good at headers.

he´s a decent player and a very decent and intelligent bloke. i think we could do worse than him for a season or two.

I have to say I don't think JDjordic will make it here, its more likely to be richardson. Chadwick will be a great player one day, when he's bulked up and polished up his final ball, may eventually replace Beckham when he retires.

Obviously, since he's English.

As long as he is wearing our shirt, who cares whether he plays his last match in OT, TO, or the venue of a CL final? ;)

Richardson.

He played a few games for the Reserves last season and did quite well.
