We just played out play off game and it should have went to penalties right? But he chosee Extra time only and so did i - it ended 4-4. What are the rules etc? Goal difference?

Rules the same as in the Group Stages. However, to make things easier, this will be a best of 3 knockout. If at the end of the 3 games a winner can't be determined (For example, Mad has beaten FreakyJim, drawn, and lost), then whoever has the better GD over the 3 games will go through. If GD is the same, goals for. If that's the same, you'll play a play-off match.

Does this apply for Quarters?

I had no idea. We could purposely draw a game and use the penalty shootout to decide the tie? or another playoff perhaps? Personally, I'd prefer the latter since GD and penalties deciding the winner would be harsh

Well played mate, thoroughly deserved that first win. You don't need to say thanks for the 3 goals i gifted you in that first one, every time i meant a simple pass to the defender but the lag kicked in and it put your man through on goal.

How i lost that second game i will never know! Chance after chance and a cheeky last man foul (i would have done the same i suppose) but that was pretty much the turning point, gave up after that.

Well played though mate, good luck in the next round. You against Pavan will be a tast affair.

Pavan's good, had a couple of terrific games against him; especially when he keeps possession for aeons in midfield, waiting for the opposing team's shape to disfigure. That's a great way of going about it as well, you have no choice but to change the way you play
