The Official Buffyverse Thread

Thought only women watched Buffy - thats the general consensus!

Not having a dig at you sweetheart and of course you'd be watchin your beloved United if it was on the same time, i just find it weird that some blokes actually watch Buffy and Angel etc.. as they're very girly'ish programmes.

Yeah, it's true that most women do like the shows more than men - David Boreanaz and James Marsters are probably the main reasons why women love it LOL :drool:

No I wasnt Ekeke but I gather you were mate?

To be honest I wouldnt fancy watchin Buffy with a boner and the family in the same room. I guess thats why men have the "Wank Bank" to save those saucey moments for later when the girlfriend comes around and gets lashed out of it..........

"oh yeah.....you've been a naughty girl Buffy.... big daddy has to punish you.......oh yeah.......":cool::angel:

I was in a class of people who were. Meaning yes. :nervous:

The episode where Buffy's mum died was one of the most compelling and upsetting pieces of television I have ever seen.

Yeah that episode was one of their greatest ever, they didn't even have any background music in the episode the entire time, it was all very touching and quite haunting actually :(

Buffy was an average series. The hot chicks saved that show. They were so desperate they had to add Eliza Dushku's character to get ratings back. Lot of better shows out there like the aforementioned firefly. Any plans for a second season??? I read that the creator is still pitching to other networks.

Eliza Dushku HAD to come back as she was the current slayer. Also, she was broken out of prison in a concurrent story in Angel so it was natural character progression.

She HAD to be the one to come back in Angel for that story line to make sense.

So nerr! :D

Well, what can I say, I can only acknowledge the fact that alot of folk love these programmes and how can I question someone with a wonderful name such as Sparkle - your a little Gem sweetheart ;)

Thanks m'dear.

It's very touching to be treated like a delicate little flower. Clearly our paths have never crossed before. :D

I didn't mind since she is way hotter than buffy. I thought the show was good but nothing special.

I love her, she's ace. I'd happily lezz it up with her.

It's horses for courses. Personally I think Buffy is a well thought out, brilliantly written show with excellent character development and is funny and heartbreaking in equal measures.

Each to their own though.

Buffy was quite good. Angel was generally not quite to the same standard, but the time around when his son was bought into it was fantastic viewing.

However, Firefly could've been one of the greatest series in the history of television. Stupid networks.

See post 8, you're obviously one of the ones who doesn't get it. I know the premise of a programme based on a vampire fighting cheerleader looks lame while the name Buffy doesn't exactly help but that's all part of the joke. If you can look beyond that then the shows themselves knock 95% of the dross on TV into a cocked hat and were certainly no camper than the likes of Heroes which people seem to rave over.

buffy v heroes no contest buffy every time

As good as Heroes and Lost are, it all pales in comparison to Buffy/Angel. The ideas, the groundbreaking stuff, the world buidling, the dialouges, the metatext, the humor, the drama, the allegories....

Lost > Buffy for me though I haven't really watched enough of Buffy to make a fair decision. most shows on HBO and Showtime would kick buffys ass though.
