Bomba Estereo - Colombian reggae is pretty funky



Bonde Role - Brazilian group that I became obsessed with a few years back.



Carla Bruni - think most people thought her album was hairy balls but I really liked it.



Kraftwerk - Autobahn, enough said.



The Teenagers - Starlett Johansson, ok it is in english but it is by a french group and it is all about their love of scarlett johansson so should be in all threads.

 
Calexico have some songs in non-english that are alright. I like the french band stereolab they have some good stuff.

That aside i like Man Utd Chau and Buena Vista Social Club. I like songs in other languages, i dont get to notice how shit the lyrics are like with most stuff.
 
There's some good stuff in here already, I was affraid that nobody else would post. It's amazing how English music dominates things and that many English speakers in general have no clue about music outside of their own language.

Very true - nice idea for a thread.
I listen to plenty of nonEnglish stuff but not many artists have managed to cross over to mass appeal - one's like Sigur Ros and Man Utd Chao spring to mind but there arent many.
