Don't really know much about it, trailer looked pretty good though. I enjoyed Godzilla when I was about 11, Day After Tomorrow was pretty bad though.

The book is brilliant, but then Cormac McCarthy is a genius, but this director is a total unknown which worries me a bit, wish the Coens had of continued on from No Country, I do have faith in Viggo and Charlize though, although it looks like from the trailers that the wife is actually alive during their journey which is not true to the book and that Theron gets top billing, she has very little mention in the book - I'm hopeful yet worried as this is the only decent looking up coming movie

I thought it was pretty shitty but I have seen far worse, well probably not far worse, but if I got to thinking I could probably think of a worse movie. Camilla Bell is :drool: .

Agree with all of that. Should be the top movie of the year. Viggo looks perfect in the role. One of the best books I've read in a while and I only wish the Coens had done it.

Not too sure about the Theron part though, I'm guessing all the scenes they showed her in the trailer were all flashbacks - before the journey began. If not, I would be very very disappointed. It would change the whole point of the story !
 
Good pick on "The Moon" as well. Looks top draw and the 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes bodes well for this.

Well you know how they are with Holywood and the love interest crap, without it you considerably reduce your demographic. Having read the book as you have you will know that her character is minimal in the book, yet she has "top billing" in the movie, doesnt make any sense to me, hence my worry!

I hope so because to change the story that much would be very silly indeed.

I never thought I would say this about Charlize Theron, but if she's in the movie for more than a 5 - 10 minute role, it would mean that they've changed the story and lost the whole plot. Stick to the source material Hollywood, stick to the friggin' source !!! :mad:
 
Expect Batman 3 news in Jauary. Also I'm really looking forward to Clash of the titans.
