Watch this if you havn't, good discussion.

Both the United and Liverpool pundits made some good points, though I'd argue Souness and Carragher hit closer to home than Neville and Keane. At the very least, it's good to see Neville has stopped blindly supporting Mourinho. Took him long enough.

Yes, agree with you.

As much as everyone absolutely murders the quality of our squad, I still (perhaps stubbornly) believe that a well-managed front six of Pogba, Herrera and Fred/Mata behind Martial, Sanchez (central) and Rashford is devastating.

So frustrating to continuously hear that he has nothing to work with when he's just playing with the wrong parts.

Agree with this 100%. I don't buy this talk about all our players being mid-table standard. Our defence is poor (I blame Jose for that) but the players you mentioned would be much better playing for a decent manager.

Neville is getting stick here, but he’s right about the club needing a reset and Woodward not being the man to do it.

Woodward has probably looked at Harry Redknapp because he’s hot st the moment (this is a joke, but youknowwhatImean)

"Creatively bankrupt and shackled to a spoilers' game plan alien to the club's traditions."

I copied this quote from the BBC. Sums up the team and Mourinho management perfectly.

Reading between the lines in that video Neville has finally accepted a need to change the manager along with positions at the top.

Jose is just pathetic and a guy full of excuses. Hopefully he isn't like that in real life, just playing a character in front of media.

He talked about how he looked exhausted just watching the intensity of players like Robertson, at any point did he even think why Liverpool, City, Chelsea and now even Southampton players play with so much intensity?

It was very well know that Klopp teams play like that, that's how he trains. He is very much obsessed (in a good way) about physical conditioning. There were so many reports on Conte and how he did double sessions and high intensity sprinting to improve player's physical conditions. Jose does nothing, play low block and somehow think players should play like mad dogs.

Again as the saying goes, you play how you train. Our performance on field is nothing but a reflection of what we do on training field.

Oh bollocks.
So, in another month, it could be fighting for 8th place, then 10th.

What I don't understand is that his current strategy of parking the bus is not working. With this in mind, why doesn't he change tack and just go gung ho from minute 1?
If he is to get sacked, then it will be in a blaze of swashbuckling all out attacking football. If you score 4 goals, we will score 5.
He has nothing to lose by doing this. The fans will certainly love the high scoring games.
At present, he is parking the bus and losing, which is boring a lot of fans.
IMO, if he does want top 4, he'll need to re-hire Rui Faria, who will fix our defence, which in turn will allow Jose to rely on parking the bus and succeeding.
Imagine if we don't win at Cardiff? They will really be fancying roughing us up a bit.

Is that right? Isn't that supposed to be what we are? What the hell are we then?

We'll get a plucky draw at Cardiff...fighting back from two goals down. It'll give the board just enough of a sign that things are getting better to keep him...

Who are we all kidding. These lickpenny ham-fisted owners arent sacking him until the end of the year and we all know it...

Whatever it is they’re objectively speaking out of their arses - none of their arguments had any merit and Carragher was owning the debate.

When you have a ex player base like those guys and match going fans who accept and champion mediocrity - you’re going to let parasites such as Jose and Woodward walk all over us for longer than is acceptable.

It's been decades for Liverpool, so he has the right experience of the situation. Our legends will take time to learn.

I don’t know how anyone who’s watched us could come to the conclusion that we’re a counter attacking team. We almost never counter attack.

All we do is hoof it, and hope for the best.

Look at his statements after this Liverpool game as he marvels at the physical state of Liverpool players:
But Mourinho also singled out Andrew Robertson, Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Georginio Wijnaldum, Naby Keita and Fabinho as players who United are unable to match when it comes to intensity. ‘First of all, we have lots of problems related to physicality, we have lots of players that I could consider injury problems, because some of our players are always injured and is not with me, it was before me,’ Mourinho said after the game.

Is it not his job to train the squad to be in peak condition? He´s also claiming some of his players are "soft" to put it mildly. Did you not spend 400 million on players you wanker and not a single one of them delivering what should be expected? Is it not De Gea,Young,Smalling,Shaw,Martial,Rashford and the lumberjack Fellaini that have been the best or should I rather put it "least bad performing players of the squad". Then he has the nerve to admire Liverpool after going there like a headless chicken not knowing what to do. And what is his answer? The same as every time in it not being his fault but somebody else is to blame. Have I forgotten something or is he not one of the highest paid managers in the world and having the privilege to steer Man Utd. Just go Mourinho, go as you are not worthy of sitting in the same seat as Sir Alex and Sir Matt sat in before you. They had dignity and were not full of them selfs as you are. Go and go now, it´s time to end this shitshow.
Then they wonder why he has supposedly lost 90% of the dressing room. Think it could be 100% now.

I realise we don't, but isn't it what Jose's sides are supposed to be. So surely it is his recruitment of players that has caused this.?

What I worry about is, when he gets the sack, we'll still have Ed running our club line a personal Disneyland.
He'll do for the 1st big band and continue to operate like before.

I try and stay moderate on this subject but unfortunately Jose got taught a lesson yesterday and UTD were totally outclassed at the same time. It was embarrassing and displayed in stark reality the difference between a modern forward thinking manager and one that has lost whatever he once has.

Football has moved on, Jose hasn’t (or even worse, can’t).

It’s time Ed.

They really are a clueless couple of imbeciles. Jose is a cancer that's being misdiagnosed.
I get that people don't like him but calling anyone a cancer is completely ott.
Also who is clueless, Scholes, Giggs and Rion have been really outspoken about the state of the club.

Also thinking problems don't go beyond the manager is taking it all lightly. Neville is right about that.

I was wrong to be so patient and accepting of the manager, going all the way back to Moyes. Moyes, van Gaal and now Mourinho following them all play the wrong kind of football for this club. Forget the immediate glory, I just want us to be brave and exciting again.

Jose has to go, immediately. Many of the players as well, because I think a fresh start is really in order.

Makes you wonder if Klopp started with Fabinho and Keita precisely due to Mourinho's comments a while back how he gets no criticism for not playing his summer acquisitions?

Rock on Cardiff this weekend, two dour teams with archaic managers. Just who will win the battle of the grim? Although, Warnock must be afraid of the sack if they don't beat us just like that other dour cnut Hughes.

The BIG issue now is that we can have 3 wins (Cardiff away, Huddersfield home, Bournemouth home) in a row in the next 3 games (maybe 4 with Newcastle) and Jose will be safe again.

Enough is enough ! I really think that 80% of the fans worldwide wants him out and hopefully it will happen soon.

11 points of the top 4 is too much. Enough with this prehistoric football, enough with this player bashing at the end of the games, enough of these excuses. Old fans like my father are not watching the games anymore because of him.

Give him his 13M and sack him

Nev and Keane are clueless. The manager is by far the biggest issue with the club.

Is United's twitter still silent? I'm clutching at anything I can...:(

Well, does anyone buy that? You have a more than decent team. With the right manager and things going your way you could have had a shot at the title.

It's funny with Jose. From my point of view, he could still rescue his career by changing a few things. But either he does not see them or is too stubborn? Or he is too full of himself?

At Chelsea he kept Ivanovic in the first 11, although he had obviously become the weakest link in our squad.

With Matic, who can still be great, the main problem is fatigue. But Mourinho was never good on rotation.
