To be honest, their squads are vastly superior and can least make simple five yard passes. We have mid table players that Zidane even can't fix. This need a huge overhaul and purge in next summer.

This just proves how awful José has been. He's had 5 transfer windows and 400M to sort things out.

If we can't do the simplest things, then it's on the manager.

Things that will change when Jose is sacked.

- The new manager won't be Jose Mourinho

Profit.

Except the problem is people said exactly the same thing under Moyes and then again under LvG. 75% of posters declared that ANYTHING would be better and we had all the same posts about how people hoped we got “beat 8-0” to hasten their sackings

Forget Jose for one second - at one point, or after how many managers, do we stop and take a reality check because surely they can’t all be bad. Is it the next one? Or the next one? Genuinely interested

Started in January imo.

Agreed, but we were at least getting results for a while despite our form starting to dip. But the real loss of form started in the final quarter of last season and transferred over to this season.
Agreed, anyone who looked beyond the facade of results could see that it was a disaster waiting to unravel.

I won’t watch any Utd game until he’s gone and I’m sticking to that, as petty as it might seem.

So I need some of you for help - was there any boo’s from the travelling lads today? They’re usually the barometer to go by. When the travelling reds turn, it’s over for the manager.

I posted this in another thread but I think it should be here too.
That makes a lot of sense to be fair.

The Glazers wouldn't be willing to pay out on Jose's compensation if they are actively trying to sell the club.
Sorry but it doesn't make sense to me. Paying his compensation or paying for new players doesn't reduce the club's valuation, neither does it come from Glazer's pockets.

Jose Mourinho seems as though he has no rapport with our players hence why no player seems like they are going all out for him. Notice how after Liverpool won, Jurgen Klopp came onto the pitch was hugging/shaking hands with his players, thats a connection Mourinho is missing with our players.

I mean you could tell there was a very good relation with Klopp and his players which will transpire onto the performance on the putch. Did you notice the rapport Klopp had with the crowd at the final whistle? It seemed as though he was a rapper on stage.

All Mourinho does is make excuses, always throwing shade at Klopp, and you know whats funny Klopp rarely retaliates.

Interesting that he called out the problem of some of our players having constant injuries and yet are still at the club. I'm still baffled as to what kind of side he wanted to build here at United with these players and his own choices. He mentions his great sides and why they were great at different things but what the hell was the plan here?

I think Mournho has always been a little overrated.
His first two league titles were won at chelsea cause we were going through transition, and Arsenal were diminishing. When he came back he took advantage of the fact we had Moyes, and there was no one to challenge.

Phil Brown chatting rubbish again. We fund ourselves. This isn’t Abramovich ownership.

Surely if you hire conte next, it will repeat again. A manager who wants to play cohesive attacking football will get the best out of this bunch.

Exactly. Makes no sense that spending would be halted because the club is up for sale. If anything, a club getting good results would fetch a higher price?!

I keep wasting two hours of my life watching shite. Feck Woodward and feck Jose

I want him gone but in reality who do you bring in to replace him?

I just don't know if there is anyone available good enough.

Liam Brady was saying it from the day we hired Mourinho that he did not fit United. He even said that when we won the Europa league, we were poor and lucky we played poor teams like Ajax in the final.

The board has to take some flak. We have basically wasted about 800 million on two rebuilding jobs because they decided to hire two managers with alternating styles. I feel they should have let Van Gaal have his third season and then hire a similar attacking minded manager.

Now we are faced with another rebuilding job with the next manager.

On another forum they are saying Blanc. Liam Brady said Wenger. Both until the end of the season. Jardim mentioned too but does not speak english i read.

We can take our time with the appointment. Carrick and McKenna can handle things till then. We need to get rid of him asap.

Your first post on the forum and you mention Klopp no less than 5 times.

WUM alert.

If we can judge by style, results and general atmosphere, how can anyone be worse exactly? Does anyone think we can actually be relegated? If the next manager is less toxic, that in itself would be an improvement and let's face it, it's really not hard to find a less toxic presence than this charlatan.

Don’t know what thread to put this in, there’s lots applicable. This is an absolute farce. Listening to Roy Keane today brings it all back. We are an absolute joke. I love Man Utd, I will support them thru thick and thin but Man Utd always have and need to represent me. We are a bunch of absolute soft boys. Never in my life time did I see us falling so low. SAF built a team of absolute fighters. Not the best pound for pound players but his men fought hard to the death and I am proud to live my life the same way. This team is representative of an absolute drip. We need a man in charge who can motivate and drive the players to fight and die for the cause. Today is representative of what we are now. A bunch of soft lads looking to get pushed around and beaten. Lots said about Roy Keane before and said no but at least he would give us some steel and stop us getting bullied and humiliated. We are a disgrace

I think there is too much talk of getting rid of Jose, with very little serious suggestions of who should take over. Remember Jose was an immensely popular choice esp among fans when he joined Utd.

So now top 6 is the definitive target, it seems. "we go for 4th, but we definitely finish top 6".

Well done, lad. You've spent £300m on a team to have them not improve over LVG type finishes in the league. None of your signings can get into the team, or if they can, they're shambolic and look like a waste of money and poor scouting work. We play relegation standard football. We've conceded 28 goals already, half-way trhough the season, despite having perhaps the world's best GK.

Get out of this club you complete fraud.

For the record, Woodward looked irate during the camera cut-away to him and Bobby and the way he spoke behind his hand was telling. I wonder......

This club isnt cursed. A new manager is certainly a step in the right direction. Will we suddenly be winning Champions Leagues over night? No. But a new set of ideas, a man manager, a motivated fresher approach is exactly what is needed right now.
Someone who doesn’t hate his own players would be good

The whole waiting for top 4 to be gone for good before sacking is so so wrong. We know we won't make it anyway, we just cannot keep up with the teams ahead of us so let's do it already.

All that shit about 4th is the best we can hope for, and public appraisal of Andy Robertson are his latest banter soundbites... from a man who spends most of his time saying how Wenger is a joke for aiming for 4th and a man who says he never speaks of any other clubs players.

It costs a few million to stop hearing them which for Utd is money found down the back of the sofa, but treated like its the mortgage on the family home.

No, he wasn't! He was always a divisive choice. Many of us (including myself already have been anti-Maureen from the start).

It's question of money... Glazers don't want to pay the full whack.

- Moyes was never United material and barely warrants a mention.

- LVG's tactical and strategical methods were sorely outdated, as was the manner in which he dealt with his players. I always enjoyed his press conferences though.

- Jose shares similar managerial issues to his predecessor (not surprising considering Jose learned the basics from LVG) but started off relatively well with a couple of trophies in his first season, finished second in the following season and then it all went to pot in his third and presumably final season in charge - as was predicted by many on here. I didn't believe in the "third season syndrome" that people were talking about, yet it happened anyway.

I'd like to think our next manager will be both competent and on the up (Poch, Zidane, Conte, Allegri etc) rather than at the tail end of his career. Hopefully, Ed and the board have learned from past mistakes and take a little more care and consideration over the next appointment.

I'd take my nan at this point.

Yeah, because Mourinho has absolutely no track record of success right?
You are stuck on Mourinho's past glories instead on analyzing the dire, static, uninspired football right in front of your face. Past success doesn't ensure future success. The world doesn't work like that.

Surprisingly positive :wenger:

No, yes, we can make top 4, honestly. We just need to run faster.

Just for the record, I could run 100m in a minute :)

I think the point he was making was regarding the stamina of the player. That said player could repeatedly do 100m sprints every minute without a break.

Loads of us have mentioned replacements.
