At 0:33-0:35 Pogba appears to gesture in the general direction of Shaw and Pereira. I wonder if they’re talking about the video Pogba made at the game.

Don't think It can be because of an ambiguous video. Jose and Pogba probably don't even follow each other on whatever platform it was posted. If it's anything to do with last night it could be them leaving the game early.

It looks bad on first glance, but you have to remember that Pogba has been posting vids of him with his teammates this entire season. So I don't think it's right to single out this insta video and ignore the past.

I honestly don't see why are people so upset about this video, do we even know if it was posted when we were losing? Somehow I doubt.

At 1:00, Jose is asking someone "Did Paul post a ..... ..... on Instagram". So, i am guessing it's all about the video posted by Pogba just after the loss.

By the way, anyone has a link to the said video posted by Pogba?

....but we finished 6 points ahead of Liverpool last season and 7 points behind them the season before. On that basis, not only has Jose won more trophies than Klopp, he’s also done a lot better in improving the teams league performance. It’s only City that are on a different planet and I don’t see that changing for anybody for the foreseable future.

And Liverpool nearly won the Champions League while entertaining their fans for the majority of their games and keeping them happy. Mourinho on the other hand has alienated half the fanbase with his football and player management regardless of the league position. An important measure of a football manager's success at a club is how happy he keeps the fans.

Come on mate are you even reading what I wrote. Klopp has improved liverpool clearly. They finished 7 points behind us because of their focus on the Champions league that much is obvious, the fact that they are in that position shows the job that klopp has actually done. He has turned them into one of the most entertaining sides in europe whilst spending less than Jose. Secondly as I have said Klopp has not openly disrespected the club, the fans and his players and gloated about it and hasn't created a circus.

Thats the difference. If we had a couple bad results but the general mood around the club was good, the football was entertaining and there was a plan going forward of course most of us would be behind the manager.

It's been a long time when you could look at a game like last night and chalk it up to being "just one of those days" where nothing really clicks, because that's the majority of our performances these days.

I really feel bad for saying this, but maybe it'd be for the best if we won a couple of games.

I would assume Mourinho has people to tell him what the players are up to at social media.

If Mourinho is to leave then who is available or who would be a good fit for the club?
The question is really,Is Mourinho good for the club?
The simple answer to that is no.After that I don't know but if anybody thinks things are about to improve they are deluded. This is his last season in charge of Chelsea down to a T.
I can't wait for him to go and Woodwards comments today about bringing Jose in to win trophies is all pointing(I fecking hope) to an exit.

When folks keep on about how Liverpool were 7 points behind last season and we finished second so were improving. How about this season? Are we still improving? Are we 7 points in front of Liverpool now? Its whats happening now that counts. To be outplayed by a championship club with a novice manager shows how the mighty have fallen.

We won the Europa League the season before and whilst people sneer at it, I think that is quite an accomplishment. Liverpool’s run in the UCL was unusual for such an average team. They got past City largely due to dodgy refereeing and a couple of brain farts from a City team who were hugely better (as the league showed), and a fortunate draw in the semi. Madrid shat on them. Mediocre teams can occasionally get to the UCL final. We have been spoiled for years and we need to get used to this and regain the trait of showing loyalty to the manager. Stick with Jose.

Just read those quotes where he threw Jones and Bailly under the bus. What a tit.

I had so much respect for him as a top manager. What's happened to him, he looks like a shadow of the manager he once was.

Enlighten us more as to which mediocre teams apart from Liverpool made it to the UCL final in last 15 years.

Christ that is some red tinted bias right there

One, shame on you.
Two, he will not get fired, as we need to pay him big money. He will go out when he meets one of the criteria in his contract for getting fired. Mathematically out of top 4 or something of that sort.

Long long season then..

Else, the players could do a Chelsea and go into a free fall. Then Ed might figure out that loss of reputation is so huge that we cannot wait till the mathematical criteria gets met. So we take the punt and throw the money.

Posted that hours ago. It's been revealed it was over an instagram post. Didn't want to believe they'd be fighting over something that petty

I'd argue the entire calendar year is a good sample. We've been poor for a long period now, and were somehow getting a lot of results that we did not merit.
If they thought we weren't going in the right direction, then he should have been sacked at the end of last season. Since he was trusted to start this season, you have to give him longer than 6 games to see where we're really at.

If LVG didn't get sacked after his run in Dec. I don't see a scenario where Jose gets fired either. It would take a complete meltdown, similar to his time at Chelsea.

They are not exactly fighting though. They are talking and I don't really see any aggressive gestures.

Ancelotti just joined Napoli. I like him but I'm not sure he would be the right appointment for United in this time. His league record isn't anything to shout about.
I know, but he's still considered as one of the best and has a lot of experience.

That scenario is very much possible. Our form is so bad that I can't see us consistently going on a run. The league is far more competitive now with even Arsenal getting into gear. Then the mid-table teams like Watford who are in good form.

Our current form could easily see us 10-12 points behind 4th and in 8th-9th position by Xmas. In which case, his position will be untenable.

The logic doesn't add up when you big up our Europa League win against piss poor opponents and in the same breath downplay Liverpool's CL final appearance, in which comical goalkeeping played a huge role in their loss. We might not even have made the EL final had it not been for a terrible Guidetti(?) miss I might add.

Have you ever worked in a niche market? I did for a while and I assure you everyone knew its peers from Canada to the UK right to Malta and Germany. I suspect football management is pretty much like that, especially since most managers seem to have had the same tutors. For example, Mou, Pep, Rijkaard, Gullit and De Boer previously worked under LVG, Lampard, Faria and Espirito Santo worked with Mou. Same in Italy, were Conte, Ferrara, Deschamps and Zidane are Lippi's protegees. Capello and Ancelotti are Sacchi's protegees, which in turn had produced managers such as Gattuso, Seedorf and Inzaghi

Now lets imagine a player back stabbed a top manager. The word will spread out like wildfire and the guy will not only have to leave the club but might even find it difficult to find another job. For example Roberto Baggio ended up with mighty Brescia after fecking up with Sacchi AND Lippi.

Its no mystery the rumoured ring leaders behind the famous coup d'etat against Moyes didn't stayed at the club for long. No one loves a back stabber. So its within the player's interests to keep appearances.
Good point, we'll have to wait and see what happens.

Are you serious? I cannot stand it when our own fans say stuff like this. Unbelievable

I don't ever want United to lose or anything, but I reckon that a couple of defeats would anticipate a much needed purge in able time to save the remainder of the season.
It's just logic, and in the best interest of the club.

Under Mourinho we have the 2nd most expensive squad in Europe (in terms of wages).

He has bought his own defenders (Bailey, Lindelof, Dalot) , his own midfielders (Pogba, Matic, Fred) and how own attackers (Lukaku, Sanchez, Ibra). And he has outspent almost every other club except City and PSG.

If he fail here, he simply fail.

We won´t sack him before the summer, no matter how bad it goes, unless a Chelsea mealtdown scenario happens he will continue. I think the best that can happen to us is to end out of the top 4. We are not even close to challenge for the title, and we are not candidates to get the UCL.

I prefer to throw this season the trash if it means we get rid of Mourinho. I fear we may be able to reach top 4 and the board renew him again, all this years we have been picking the wrong managers. We keep spending and rebuilding the squad when a new manager arrives.

We keep having faith in coaches when its clear its not working, and its not about results, its about performance. Klopp and Poccetino finished below us last season, but you could clearly see improvement.

We need to copy the City Model, bring a top coach with proven quality (not Zidane) and give him an open checkbook. Get rid of all the deadwood, many players in the squad have been given way to many oportunities to prove themselves and failed.

But sadly this wont happen, the problem right now may be Mourinho, but the big problem are the owners. They clearly dont care about United winning titles, their goal is not to win the league or the UCL, their goal is to get revenue and they are doing it masively so there is no reason to change. As long as we dont fall out of top 4 and we remain "marketeable" they wont care about winning titles.

Sadly we have become a brand more than a football club.

Ridiculous logic this one. Almost like Pogba wishing City player injuries so that others can catch up.

Yeah. It is crazy how some wanna make you feel guilty and deluded for wanting/expecting good football.

I genuinely think there’s four or five hardcore Mourinho fans on here who just can’t accept what’s blatantly in front of them. No matter what happens, they will blame players, the big bad media, Woodward etc. There’s definitely a collective blame here but it’s astonishing the lengths the hardcore Mourinho lads go to defend him.

I then think there’s an element that just won’t back down and admit it’s just not working for Mourinho as they’ve backed him to the hilt and won’t be seen to be wrong. It’s all about internet point scoring and they’re just so desperate to be proven right, they’ll defend him no matter what.

I hold my hands up, I really wanted Mourihno and was convinced he was the man to bring the glory days back. I was ecstatic when he took over and I genuinely believed he would really have an impact here. I was wrong, so wrong. It’s clearly not working for him and the football is soul destroying. I’m sorry, I can’t get excited about a half hour in a match at home against Spurs where we allegedly played like a prime Barca. A match we ultimately got humiliated in. That’s the shit his fans get excited about these days, it’s pathrtic. But once you’re holier than thou, that’s all that matters.

Why did Derby play better football than us?

Mourinho used to have this immense aura, and teams would run through a brick wall for him. It's as if his man management has worsened instead of improved. Which is a bit odd as you'd expect managers to become better skilled at it through experience.

If our rivals hyped up an EL win over reaching a CL final we would be calling them stupid, with good reason. People need to stop with this "we won trophies" remark. It was just the EL plus a couple of irrelevant crap. It's way below the standards of this club and it's humiliating to resort to those just to defend a manager who already proved he thinks he's bigger than the club.
