Re: the original post. TBF, if an American reads the music blogs, he's aware of the Kooks. I steered clear of them as they are one of those massively overhyped NME bands that fizzle out quickly--see Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs, Pete Doherty. They're just okay, nothing special.
