The IT Crowd

I had never watched this until my g/f put the first episode on last week. I thought it would be shit but I think it's rather good. A bit hit & miss in places but some of the stuff is laugh out loud funny, which is all you can ask for from a comedy show!

The best episodes so far - The Gay Musical, the one with the robbery where Moss kisses Roy & the tramp one. I think I'm halfway through season 3 and hopefully I'll get through them all before the end of this week

It's one of the strangest series ever though because one week it'll be hilarious and the next it'll be utter, utter shit.

Not really, the first and especially 2nd series were consistently very funny. The 3rd a little less so and then 4th was hit and miss definitely.

Saying that, it isn't as consistently funny as Fr. Ted or Black Books were, but that's a very difficult thing to achieve.

Just watching the 'Friendface' episode on E4. Very funny stuff. What I would have written about facebook if I had have thought of it. Or been funny.

Did anyone watch the final episode the other night? I personally thought it was really funny for the most part.

I liked it. Not to the standard of the early stuff, but much better than the recent stuff they did. I wasn't particularly disappointed when they said they were ending it, simply because it'd become very disposable.

Didnt enjoy it that much. I had a few laughs but it wasn't that funny.

Some of the original seasons were brilliant.

What channel was it on? I watch the 2 episodes a week on E4, I quite enjoy the show

Really enjoyed the final episode. I was worried by the adverts and thought it'd feel quite forced. But it was really good, also liked the references here and there to older episodes, like with Jen and the internet.

Never knew about this , managed to watch it on 4od and it was as funny as ever . Graham Linehan as a comedy writer is a genius .

Started poorly and then picked up half way through. The hour long format doesn't really work for a sitcom though in my opinion.

Thought it was pretty poor. I've also never understood what's remotely funny about Noel Fielding's character. He sounds like someone who can't do funny voices, trying to do a funny voice.

People find Noel Fielding funny by default due to the Migty Boosh, even though that is the only funny things he's ever been a part of. Even in that he isn't as funny as the straight guy and other characters.

Noel's standup material and delivery is also cack. Started feeling sorry for him on stage (Comedy Central, I wasn't there). The laughter started enthusiastically and tailed off badly almost relieved it was over.
