The IT Crowd

didnt watch the first series when it was on (except for the first one which was shite and put me off it)...but recently caught a few repeats and found myself laughing at bits of it, so decided on friday to give it another chance and was pleasantly surprised to find myself laughing quite a bit at it.

we'll see what the rest of the series is like though.

Haven't seen it, but it looks rubbish from the adverts. And considering the adverts usually contain the funniest bits of a show, I don't have very high hopes for this one.

My mate raves about this show and he finally got around to lending it to me today.

I hated it, then found it tolerable, then hated it, then found it tolerable.

It seems stupid, pointless, and unamusing at times, and then becomes reasonably entertaining for a stretch.

Does it go on like this forever?

im a big fan, first time i saw the first series i was almost in tears. got all the box sets, great show!

I remember thinking it was going to be shit once they replaced Denholm with Douglas but Douglas was the best thing about the show after that.

Douglas: "I like you, Jen. You don't ask questions. A lot of people would be confused as to why I invited them up here then asked them to leave, not you. A person's got to have a lot of backbone to allow herself to be ordered around like that. You've got spunk and balls, and I like that in a woman"

The best episode though is the one when they go to the theater, scene where Jen sees Roy in the wheelchair and Moss behind the bar is brilliant.

:lol::lol:

I've given it a go, watched pretty much all of season 1, and there were sections of it that was pretty amusing. But it doesn't even come close to Seinfeld, infact if these two shows were superheroes. Then Seinfeld would be fecking Batman while IT Crowd would be that annoying loser child in the Incredibles. I.E. feckin toss.

We all have opinions mind, so I could be wrong :)

(But i'm not)

i agree, Seinfeld is the mother of all sitcoms, but IT Crowd is excellent

Season 1 was fairly poor, it really picked up after the new boss arrived.

one of my favourite clips.

and then this episode had me in stitches;

that at the very start, then just when you have forgotten about it all, at the end of the episode:

The first episode of the new series is online: Channel4 - BT - IT Crowd premiere

I found it to be one of the worst episodes yet. What is with this show - one week it'll be really funny (the Gay! musical one mentioned above or the internet episode for example), the next week it'll be worse than an episode of My Family- dire, dire stuff.

For this, no.
