Film The Irishman | Martin Scorsese | 2019

I've not watched as many many De Niro and Scoresese movies as I should have but going through both of their filmography, it's rather odd how many times they've worked together .I mean, what the feck is up with that?
It's pretty common for all the best filmmakers. Some actors and directors just get each other.

It makes them money??

Its a good partnership and a sign uts going to be a good film unlike say Scorcese and Di Crapio

Scorsese and De Niro grew up on the same street and have known each other since as far back as then.

Also Scorsese has a tendency to have his go to actor with whom he works most of his projects with. After De Niro, DiCaprio became the actor with whom Martin collaborated with a lot. Leonardo almost has as much films together with Martin as De Niro and Martin have.

Okay I'll bite.

The departed?
Wolf of wall street?
Gangs of new york?
Shutter Island
The Aviator
The Audition(short film)

And they're expected to reunite again for a movie called Roosevelt.

This is all I’ve seen of this film. I’m in.

Really thogut Wolf of Wall Street was a terriblly overrated film. The other two though
I actually thought Gangs of New York was overrated. Wolf of Wall Street was lots of fun.

Cannot wait for this. Goodfellas, The Departed, Gangs of New York are some of my absolute favourites. the cast looks fantastic, I'm a huge fan of Boardwalk Empire so I'm very excited to see some of the guys who were excellent in that get a part in this.

Bring it on

5 from Bradshaw can mean only one thing: it's bound to be great. Or then again it might mean it's bad, or it might be in between, or it might be a seahorse. Hell if I can decipher that guy's erratic rating system.

We need more mafia flicks. Without a doubt my fav genre.

Another glowing review. I've gone from having no interest in this to thinking it'll be worth checking out at least.

Some of those glowing reviews are probably because it's a final collab between De Niro /Scorsese / Pesci + Pacino. I don't expect the movie itself to be that good.

This is coming out at the end of November? Thought it is only a matter of a week or two...

The UK previews were last weekend to coincide with the London Film Festival premiere. It will be in cinemas again from 8th November and on Netflix from 27th November.

Just got back from a festival screening. I found it funny both people either side of me fell asleep at some point over the 3.5 hours.

I cant do long movies anymore. Even now when I rewatch LotR I watch it in 1 hour spurts.

Guess Ill wait for the netflix release.

Available on Netflix as from today for those who haven't seen it in cinema yet.
