The Headbangers Thread

I would like to bring the following video to the floor, with a brief explanation. This is a band I have seen no less than 13 times, and my best mate and I hopped on the train to London from Banbury for this gig, The first one since they released Casually Dressed and Deep in Conversation. It was an album that in reality failed to live up to all the hype on first listen, especially after the EP's such as Four Ways to Scream Your Name (which is now discontinued, and I have a signed copy!:D) and the oft forgotten Between Order and Model (along with the single release of Bullet Theory).

This was an electric gig, bettered only by their show at the Reading Festival in 2004. I give you, Funeral for a Friend (before they turned into Coldplay on Hours and Tales don't tell themselves).

I reckon im gonna do like Saints and give you an explanation as to why i've picked this video.

Plain and simple...it's fecking brutal...Guttural vocals...simple slam-grind but o so fecking brilliant.

I give you Annotations of an autopsy...the best british grind band since Napalm Death

Next Up.

BMTH

Bring me the....Hairspray ?? Haircuts ?? Hair-straightners??

no... Horizon.

Yorkshire boys...doin Mint as feck metal with good hair.

Many doubters constantly follow this band, they blew every fecker away with this...the opening slice from their debut full length "count your blessings" enjoy.

bring me the horizon - Pray for plagues

Another of the scr-emo bands, Silverstein. One of the bands who ran off the mill of Victory and kept going. Their thrashing guitars and Shane's superb ability to switch between throat and harmony made them a personal favourite.

Once again i have to remedy the redcaf faithful from this screamo crap (i jest Saint's don't worry)

Let's bring in the goth-tinged metalcore shall we.

Orange county was a fecking hotbed of metal activity a couple of years ago...this being one of the stand out bands from that bunch.

The highlight of an otherwise unspectacular album...but solid enough...this song deserved to be on a better album...fecking immense.

Bleeding Through - Love lost in a hail of gunfire

Females crept in the last video in the form of Bleeding Through's keyboard/synth player.

Now for some female fronted metal action.

For all of you that think Arch Enemy are the ebst female fronted group...be prepared to be proved wrong...this badn shit on them.

Walls Of Jericho - A Trigger Full Of Promises.

moving on.

Down under.

I Killed the prom queen were a band that were set to light up 2007, with Ed on vocals (ex The Hunt for Ida Wave, currenly singing in Eternal lord) they had a good mix of heavy with melody and were awesome live.

Ed saw fit to leave the badn and after a couple of attempts at finding a better singer, the band called it quits.

This is their defining moment.

I Killed The Prom Queen - Say Goodbye

Awesome band. I saw them tonight and thought they were near perfection. Shane's voice is practically the same as it is on cd which amazes me, when you see alot of singers who are shit live. Check out the newer stuff aswell mate and go see them if you can. There heading down south again.

I have seen them four or five times, and Shane got fed up of me mithering him at gigs! I got the original release of When Broken is Easily Fixed singed on the sleeve cover by the band.

I like the newer stuff, it has shown a maturity in their music, but has sacrificed a shade of the edge as seen on songs like My Heart Bleeds No More
