Theres absolutely no way it'll fail. Followed the same formula, brought everyone back, clearly will have a few surprises up its sleeve. $300m+ easily, it'll probably outdo the first. Although I do agree the trailer wasn't that funny, but that's a good thing, funny trailers ruin films.

Like Pogue said, it'll be successful no doubt but whether it'll be critically acclaimed and thought of as highly as the first is very unlikely.

When I mean fail, I mean it just won't be remembered as fondly as the first. Many films especially sequels have made more money than their predecessors but still been acknowledged as flops.

Really enjoyed the first, hope the second film is as good but would be very surprised if it is.
