Jumping the gun a bit as it isn't official yet, but this is a really exciting appointment. Ten Hag knows how incredibly difficult the job is and still wants to come because he feels confident in his abilities. The board must show the same confidence in him and tell the players day one that this is our guy, fall in line or get out.

Welcome to Manchester United Erik! Can we please immediately agree that top 4 is the most we should be hoping for next season? Let's not hound the poor lad immediately. Title challenge pretty much impossible and if he does somehow achieve it he will have overachieved, it SHOULD NOT be expected. Long-term appointment, patience is needed. The main thing I'm hoping for is to see the players become more familiar with his tactical demands by the end of the season, since it is quite complex and different from what the current squad is used to.
