It always seems as though footballers are judged by what they win in their career. If a footballer is truly great but doesn't win a league title, his supporters will lament at this injustice (Steven Gerrard?)
Likewise, if a mediocre footballer wins everything, opponents will claim that this somehow devalues his achievements, as the cream is supposed to rise to the top (David May?)
Anyhow, this got me thinking, has there ever been a great (or highly rated) footballer that has won nothing in their career?
To make this slightly easier, I'll count major honours only, so League Championships, National Cups and European (or equivalent) and International Honours.
Can you think of anyone?
