Two categories: the greatest footballer who happened to have a bald head; and the greatest bald head that happened to also belong to a footballer

I start the bidding high with the latter category, as I suggest Alan Cork formerly of Sheffield United:

Much balder indeed, but Corks majestic beard gruff perfectly accentuate his baldness, and for me makes him the greater bald. A perfect example of the importance of framing

Charlton. . . a proper bald person with a comb over. Now that's what I called bald. Zidane still looked cool. . .so he's not counted.

Alan Wright.

Not the greatest, but certainly the smallest..............(and my daughters' best friends dad,so I wanted to include him......................Hiya Alan... :D )

Di Stefano.

Ahh come on, he was getting there.....

I agree that the baldy man with beard is indeed a fine sight - it looks in Cork's case if a particularly steely tackle has turned his head upside down.

Breatest bald player would have to be Zidane although his baldness is questionable to be fair.

Have you watched this video?

Some sweet polish goals on this....

I have watched all of games from that time.

Lato, Deyna, Szarmach, Lubański, Boniek, Gorgoń... Tomaszewski, the goalkeeper.

That was a great team with Górski the legend as a manager and then - Antoni Piechniczek.

Pitty that the current Polish team isn't even half that good as team from 1976-1986, but it's good to remind myself about good old times.

I have seen him play live.

Sounds like im teaching my grandma to suck eggs here....you obviously know more than me about it. Yeah both poland and scotland(my other half) had good players then, and poland seriously could have gone all the way then as opposed to scotland who just as useless then despite having good players. Both nations a shadow of their former selves.

Best bald player, hmm, probably Zizou.

Best bald head, probably that 74 year old-looking guy who was running around in Fulham's midfield last season, or the season before at least. Can't remember his name now.

Otherwise, Sir Bobby

I'm sure I don't know that much about Scotland as You, Man... but the main thing is that Scotland produced Ferguson.

For me it's enough, to say that Scotland rocks even more than Guns'n Roses.
