I think he is one of those gems who don’t need a loan to find a breakthrough.I assume the transfer window is still open for loans outside the PL? He probably needs a loan to Championship or an equivalent league abroad.
He needs to play against Spurs and face down their keeper.
'Is that Lloris? Well hello Lloris'
I think he is one of those gems who don’t need a loan to find a breakthrough.
based on his performance on several appearances toward the end of the last season, I feel he can comfortably slot into either LM or RM in a midfield of three. if we continue playing double-pivot or a diamond of four, it is very hard for him, and also hard for VDB to get chances.Quality wise maybe, but the positions he plays (AM, false 9, LW) he won't get a sniff given the depth we have currently.
They don’t play the same position as far as I’m awareHe's behind Lingard in the pecking order who'll struggle for games himself. I'd wager no.
Hey I just ate you
And this is crazy
My name is Hannibal
Don't call me Mejbri
It’s enough to name Pedri and Bellingham. There is also Camavinga.he is 18 years old and attacking or deep lying, how many teenagers in world football do we see playing and breakign through regularly in that position.
You do need to play at professional level on a weekly basis at 18 years old. It's rare for players to become anything when it's not the case, there are known exceptions but they are not to be used as models.
Doesn’t the fact you can name only 3 tell you something? It’s enough to name Pedri and Bellingham. There is also Camavinga.
It's not that weird in the context of it being United. The club have had the bloated squad issue for years with players either surplus to requirements or not good enough. Admittedly Solskjaer has done reasonably ok clearing out some of the during his tenure but there is still plenty stinking out the place.Don't understand why united insisted on 25 million for a soon out-of-contract Lingard. The fact that he played well for WH shouldn't have raised his value that much as it only confirms that's his level. Players like Lingard, Mata hanging around just seems a bit unnecessary when some of the youngsters are really rated.
oldI’m not sure about that. Pogba was 19 when he signed for Juve. He was the first player I thought of so there are surely plenty more. Especially late developers.
Didn't I mention that there were known exceptions? And Pogba had turned 19 a few months before moving to Juventus. If you want me to say 18-19 years old it's fine, the point is the same, players need to play at a professional level around that age. Mejbri turns 19 in january it's not really a period where you expect him to play at a semi-pro level.
Exactly, it will be a huge problem.I don’t disagree with your general point. If Mjebri isn’t playing regular professional football either this season or next then that’s a problem.
Didn't I mention that there were known exceptions?

Maybe for attackers, but it’s rarer for centre backs and central midfielders that are already at big clubs. I do think we should have looked at loaning him out this season though.
Lingard’s G/A ratio is terrible for us. Could it get any worse if we played a young player there? He's behind Lingard in the pecking order who'll struggle for games himself. I'd wager no.
Agree with your general point, and in the case of MejbriI it is probably correct (as he is too good to be playing non-competitive football like U23). But I think there are so many exceptions that I’m not quite sure it is accurate.
If you look at the players from Man Utds acadamy who «made it» (lets define it as more than 100 games in the PL or similar), quite few of them played much senior football before the age of 20. Giggs did. Wes Brown did. Maybe Phil Neville too? I also think Evans got a few loans spell.
Correct me if I’m wrong but Scholes, Butt, Beckham, Neville, Fletcher, Pique, Savage, M. Keane, Cleverley, McTominay etc did not?
That being said, I think Chelsea have been great with their «loan system». It is a nice way of giving young players exposure early if they are ready for it.
The vast majority of defenders don't come from big clubs, in fact the vast majority of top players don't come from big clubs or at least they don't come from the biggest clubs but clubs where there is room for playing time at a relatively young age.
VDB was refused a loan as well, but do you see Ole with a plan to play him? Got no confidence that H will be anything more than maybe a sub at the end of a league/FA cup match we are winning by 3-4 goals.I have noticed that for the U23s he is often played in an attacking position but I have also heard he has the attributes of a box to box midfielder. If he is seen as having the ability to play in the pivot then I do think he will get games, even if it is cup games and the occasional sub appearance. If he is see as being more of a number 10 then I doubt he will figure much at all and would be better off on a loan. The fact that we were apparently firm on not loaning him out does suggest there is a plan to use him in the first team this year.
