Once you pop…THAT’S GREAT!
What say ye caftards, who is gonna win it this year? Nadal obviously is the sensible bet, but neither Federer or Djokovic can be ruled out. My bold prediction is that Nadal will be knocked out before the final, leaving Federer a relatively clear run at it.

I think Federer gets it together after his problems and gets the one thing which eludes him.

Djokovic survived a scare, Kuerten retires and Harkleroad will be in playboy. Nice opening day of tennis.

Ladies Singles is a complete lottery. Could be anyones.

My outside bet is Alize Cornet who won the Girls in 2007 at Roland Garros. Local French Girl and is coming into Roland Garros with form.

On the Men's side - I'd love to see Murray get to a Final, but he is going backwards since getting rid of Brad Gilbert. More Chance of Roddick beating Federer then there is of Murray doing anything here.

So any of the Big three for me and I'd love to see Djorkovic do it.

Like Baz said, the womens Open is completely open now that Henin is out. Personally I hope Ana Ivanovic wins it, but only because we have a fling going on.

Would love for Federer to finally win Roland Garros, but will be surprised if he does. He`s had a tough year, and Nadal is still the clear favourite on clay.

From the last 17 years only Courier, Kafelnikov and Aggasi are not "clay specialist". Would really like if Federer manages to win but I can´t see Nadal slipping here. Well unless his blisters won´t reduce his abilities.

I can't see anyone else but Nadal winning it in the mens.

As for the women's with Henin retiring, I feel Jankovic might just win her first Grand Slam.

Hmm, I have the BBC coverage on, rain has stopped play, the commentators have left but the mics are still on, so I can only hear the sounds of rainfall. And I'm too lazy to go and turn the channel over. This is not good

Game, set and match Nadal.

Looked quite a good game in the first set, some good tennis played, but in the end he was no match for Nadal.

But he's name to look out for in the future, Bellucci.

Edit: Djokovic through too.

Federer has a clear run to the semis. Only one player ranked above 27 in his quarter, and he is a fellow Swiss so probably won't have the nerve to try and upset Roger.

Then Davydenko or Ferrer or someone not as good.

Is there anywhere you can find a decent stream to these matches? It has to be good quality, or else I won`t see the ball.

Not sure ruben, tennis is bad for streams because the quality is often shoddy which makes it impossible to watch. I guess you don't live in the UK?

No, Norway. The apartment I currently live in doesn`t have Eurosport and none of the Norwegian channels show anything but Wimbledon.

Mauresmo vs Suarez Navarro

Completely defies the purpose of watching women's tennis. Both could pass off as men ffs.

I try not to be so hetro about it but watching womens tennis involving such ugly women just makes me go through the whole match feeling slightly ill. Give me Ana Ivanovic anyday. Or Kournikova, she was great but shit at tennis :(

What a bitter goodbye for Fabrice Santoro. He always seemed like a decent guy.
