The Fifth Redcafe Sheep Draft

I don't envy the sheep committee - it would be an awful lot of work to find all those sheep for us in this round

Really hoped that the results would be in already.

Easy peasy. Uruguayan clubs in financial trouble usually sell 2/3 players to random Serie A or La Liga midtable teams. That automatically meets the picking criteria, if not your desired quality.

Interesting that people chose Deschamps. Well, off we go, to the safe safer choice.

A ridiculous pairing slipped by though, or so it seems.

@green_smiley can you threadmark this or add into OP? With updates after every round ofc.

I'm honestly shocked. I never expected myself to get a pass in the first turn in two consecutive rounds! It's been a long time since I had that in a sheep draft!

I'm a happy man! :D

Having said that, this round should get really good now.

It will be at least an hour here as I can't research specific games at the moment

And in the future we should really never do this "proof that two players at the same club for a season actually played a game together". It's overly pedantic and takes away from the spirit of the draft.

Reading articles about old players, watching old footage of old player, reading/listening to interviews of players. That is all beneficial research where you can learn about new/old players and have fun doing it!

Does anyone actually enjoy googling to find old match line-ups just to "prove" that two players in the same team for a season together were actually on the same pitch.

Seems like an overly pedantic rule that adds nothing fun to the draft.

It's there so to avoid a loophole that can allow for some really good pairs of players. I don't mind it, personally.

Its not a loophole though. And in this case it really wouldn't allow any better pairs than we get already (plus not even sure why that is important). It literally just forces us to waste time looking for match line-ups.

I wont be around for couple of hours at least. I know my pick but any neutral can help out with the proof not to stall too much?
