The F1 Thread 2010 Season

Kobayashi understeering really screwed up Kubica and Hamilton and helped Vettel when he came out of the pit. he could have got in ahead of Vettel

Lotus fella looks like he is trying to shag the front of trullis car there

I haven't followed F1 in ages but I like Alonso/Ferrari. This race is insane, just like I rememeber F1. I don't fully understand the situation going into the race but here's what I understand: Webber was Alonso's biggest opponent for the title, so Alonso attempted to race against him. Red Bull are clearly trying to win it with Vettel, probably knowing that Ferrari would take Webber if he was landed as bait. What a race, the intelligence behind some of the strategies is brilliant.

If Button doesn't pit soon I think they are playing games with him to hold up Vettel.

feck it, Hamilton has to pit again, this will benefit Alonso.

Weird. I as an armchair fan knew that they shouldn't have pit Alonso.

And Ferrari with all their data didn't know.

Yea but he shouldn't need to be pitting again, what the hell has he done to screw his tyre, he must have locked up big somewhere

The McLaren has had brake balance issues for the past 5 or 6 races, feck knows what they changed.

There is no way that Alonso will finish 4 th now. Unless some safety car bullshit helps him. Upto Vettel and his car now to win it

Jenson really showing off his smooth driving style here, in stark contrast to his team mate

I've always thought Button was criminally underrated. His driving style is insanely smooth. Granted, being smooth alone doesn't win you championships but coupled with the speed he carries it's a great advantage, like he's showing on these tires.

If Hamilton pits then atlast something might go in Alonso's favor. There is no way Vettel won't this race barring a blow up engine. Petrov bloody hell

Button has done an incredible job on those softs, I mean ffs Webber's were shot in 12 laps.

Indeed, he's a very good driver, and as you say very much underrated - on here especially.

Surely vettel will have this title now

This is how Nazi Germany started...

Vettel just has to drive the car home, no drama.

That's his part, lots of things can go wrong though. One or two DNF on the cars behind him and his win is useless.
