That makes much more senseApparently they’re looking at three movies to finish off the books.

I guess it would be like Serenity was with Firefly.Movies with these actors though
That shade with Alex"s replacement drinking from his cup.
I was wondering when filming for this was done to release it but its seem to have just been wrapped up before the pandemic started in February.
New big production shows/seasons are still trickling through but it's going to be interesting around the new year to see what comes out as I imagine most the stuff completed before lockdown and gone through post production would be drying up now..
I haven't seen the episode yet, and without giving away too much, stroke is a common concern in that universe when you're doing high-G stuff on juice. The Alex write off was dodgy as feck. A stroke obviously that had to do it but is that the best they could come up with for the most badass pilot in space?
Good finale though, even if it felt like some of it was lost on me having not read the books.
Me neither....I really don’t see the problem with the actors.
I don't know how I feel about this. It's nice watching the show not knowing what happens next. (The show has caught up to the last book I've read)One of my favorite shows on television with the last kingdom and star trek enterprise.
I love the whole universe that they have created. I even thought it would be a great open world game, with the 3 factions and the stations all over the solar system .
I've never been very good at cataloging actors but they haven't been a problem for me either. Maybe I see them part of the set and I can't imagine anyone other than Avasarala and her voice.
In the same way, I wouldn't highlight Amos over the rest. At different points in the series his role seemed to be to make minor repairs while threatening or frowning.
However in this season, Alex and the Martian girl spent three episodes in the same position, sitting on the ship. Maybe it could have been better.
At the end of the first season I was about to start reading the books, which I did not do and now I regret it since I suppose that the experience will not be the same.
That looks promising, thanks, I think I'll try now to see how it works, trying to forget about the characters of the showI don't know how I feel about this. It's nice watching the show not knowing what happens next. (The show has caught up to the last book I've read)
The show will never match your imagination, but it's a really fecking good show imo. Maybe read the books after season 6?
I read the books after season 3 and the earlier books were not diminished, everything seems more fleshed out, expansive and epic. Then I went ahead of the show and I feel like seasons 4/5 were slightly underwhelming as a result.
Now that's an idea, open world or a Homeworld type strategy with deep level of political management... it begs to be made someday. Could even happen if the franchise will continue to expand.I love the whole universe that they have created. I enjoyed that finale butwtf sort of shit way to kill off Alex was that? Did that happen in the book or was he hurriedly killed off because of the real life allegations?
It was announced prior to the release of season 5 when season 6 was confirmed that he wasn’t coming back. One might infer that by stating that they were dropping him due to these allegations, regardless of what happens in the books.
Spoiler rules prevent me from saying more unless you want more information in a PM.
I'm not sure what the spoiler rules are, but can you say whether the book has deviated from the show because their hand was forced due to the allegations? I don't want to know any more than that for fear of spoiling it for myself! Mind you, I'll probably have forgotten this conversation by the time season 6 comes out.
Sorry yea that's what I meant. You mean show deviating from the books?
Sorry yea that's what I meant.
Meh season. Not enough Sci-Fi stuff IMO.
Also Naomi, Inaro and their son are all terrible actors. They make me cringe pretty often.
Interesting, thanks. While trying to keep it as spoiler free as I can, there is some amount of deviation in that the new chap who looks to be replacement for Alex on the show doesn't have the personal relationship with rest of the crew of the Roci and Alex, by reason of not being dead in the books, continues to organically grow the relationships he has with each member of the crew of Roci.
fecking hell, calm down, Satan.should have been more than just a couple of million people dying
fecking hell, calm down, Satan.
Yeah, I really wouldn't want RedCafe to be part of the origin story of a new supervillain.
I think the few million comment was after the first meteor hit, so there were likely many more deaths after the others impacted.
Let us hope this sates his appetite for mass genocide!

I think Inaros was actually a perfect casting and was a bit shocked to see all the criticism here. He's every bit as insane as he should be. It's exactly how I imagined the character.I agree. The belters diction is possibly why some don't like them. I think Inaros is a pretty good villain.
I loved series 5. 4 was good but a bit pointless.
