The Europa League 2017/18(Use the SF thread to discuss the current match)

This Everton team is very similar to the Tottenham side after they sold Bale to Real.

Outside of Sigurdsson and Pickford, they really haven't improved their team. They brought in a bunch of bang average players and simply did not replace their best player and main goal threat. It's not a surprise that they've been so poor.

The former Liverpool player?
Yes! He's been great for Milan. Reminds me of pre-City Nasri. He can cut inside and shoot or playmake but he also loves to keep the width, beat a player and put in excellent crosses which surprised me at first as I had him down as a D.Silva type of wide man who always comes inside to playmake. He's got a great shot and cross on him, is very creative, and unlike Mata and Mkhi he's good at retaining the ball with his close control when being pressed.

Interesting.

Can't say I have watched him much.

Need to catch more Milan games

Is Fekir good enough to step up to a top club?

Dont watch him anywhere near enough to make a fair asessment, but has looked good against Everton so far.

If he can stay away from injuries then certainly. He's my ideal #10 over Griezmann/Ozil.

The Arse supporters I work with having pretty much no interest in the Europa league whatsoever.

Arrogant twats, it's not like they are overflowing with success. Winning this ought to be a real boost for them.
I think most on here were the same in regards to that as well. I, like yourself, was hoping José would prioritise the Europa and we reaped the benefits from him doing so. I think if they get to the latter stages of the competition they'll change their minds.

They're not making top four, so they need to be winning the Europa.

He looks like a true playmaker, but also has good physical attributes too.
He's a playmaker and a goalscorer. He comes deep to playmake but will also get in the box a lot, too. He's an all rounder who has that Isco/D.Silva ability to hold onto the ball when pressed which is something we sorely lack. Plus, he works incredibly hard defensively with his pressing and reading opposition runs. He reminds me a lot of Tevez.

Villereal pull one back and Young Boys score the second. Meanwhile, Atalanta haven't scored the second yet, desping having many chances.
