The Criteria Draft - The Drafts

For the two player thing, do they have to be trophy-less for two seasons or for the whole time both of them were at the club?

And will the trades go on simultaneously or at the end of the draft?

Ahh, gotcha.

Good point, I will clarify at the top. Only for the 2 seasons out of however many they were together, just they need to be one after another. See clarification list!

Trades can go on any time.

Sorry for the delay folks.

Crappy isn't here, so I'll make the obvious pick.

We welcome Messi.
Here's a picture of him receiving an award he doesn't deserve.

@Annahnomoss You really need to specify which Ronaldo. I mean, for me there's only one Ronaldo. The Portuguese twat who used to play for United ain't Ronaldo - but, again, you need to specify. Both had shitty haircuts.

@rpitroda

Just to be clear about the 8/9 criterion. Let's say A and B spent 4 years at club X in England, let's say 2000-2004. They played together for X throughout the 4 years. X did not win a league title from 2000-03 but won one in 03-04. A and B both have won leagues in countries other than England, but not the same country for both.

So is this okay? They were together for two years, in this case 2000-02 or 2001-03 when they did not win the league, they did however win after the two league title-less years, together at that very club.

I'd read it as such. They played together for two whole seasons on the trot without winning the league. But both won the league elsewhere. Whether they won the league together at some point is irrelevant as long as they both featured in TWO non-league-winning teams for two consecutive seasons. And both have league winner's medals from another league. The only unclear point is whether this - the other league title - will have to be in two separate leagues.

About deadlines: You can obviously make your pick as soon as the manager above you on the list has announced his. But will the 8hr deadline start ticking as soon as X has made his pick, regardless?

You see the thing? In theory everyone in places 1-15 may be present and alert right now, making the first round fly by in a matter of minutes. If No 16 is counting on everyone taking their sweet time, he'll find himself in a potential predicament.

That is how it has always been. You never know if you expect to be away 10 hours and there are 10 picks left before you if they'll make those picks in two hours or not.

No easy way to solve it either, as including a minimum would ruin the flow that we sometimes get in to which are also important to get it done in time.

Right. It's fair enough, though - 8hrs is plenty. If you're in the draft you should check in often enough to be on the safe side. If you're likely to be away for days on end, you shouldn't play to begin with.

Just checkin', as it were.

Yes that's correct. Reason being that way it's equal no matter if the players played together for longer.

If we don't state categories won't it become a mess in the End to cross check each and then some will have to repick or what ?

And if we state categories do we have to state which one we are using explicitly first ?

The first, not really as the manager will only add one to each player.

As for the latter, it's been clarified - no need to specify until the end!

I want Stobzilla to finally play the Western-European theme, wanted to see his team in action in the last draft but that never happened :(

The rules looks great

I know, had a complete nightmare of a couple of weeks coming towards the end of the bidding process. Me and KM will have some fun this time. I feel we did an amazing job in the Sheep draft and were unlucky to come up against Anto in the first round.
