The comprehensive Ronaldo thread

With regards to his time here I think most will wanna put it out of our memories. But to have a thread on the worlds most popular player makes total sense tbh. Where he ends up next, his WC performance, ventures after his playing days are over will all be huge topics in the football community so even though I cba reading the bumps whenever martial misses a sitter for us saying “Ronaldo would’ve scored that”, I’m not opposed to having a general CR7 thread on here. Much like a messi one exists

:boring:

He has really cheapened his reputation by colluding with Piers Morgan, that’s for sure.

Trashy, gossip, daytime TV stuff. His biggest rival is above such things.

He has cracked open the door to being a figure of fun and I think he will regret it looking back. His legacy should have been well above something like this. Cheap and tacky.

In both games Portugal have looked better when he's gone off. Make of that what you will.

He was trying to pretend the ball touched his forehead which according to every TV angle is a blatant lie (he likes those). If he had lied about it touching the tip of his hair, some might have been able to believe him.

Anyway, looking forward to the tantrum when he’s rested for the next match. Morgan might get another interview…

But the goal did happened from dummy header off the cross.

Ronaldo wasn't trying to distract the keeper, he was trying to get his head on the ball. Which he failed to do. Calling that a "dummy header" is very generous.

He did well to get into the position in the first place, I'll give him that. The movement prior to the header was reminiscent of his old self. The fact that he failed to make proper contact with the ball, however, is very much in line with his current self. Fine margins and all, but that's kinda the point - he's lost his edge.

It was an average performance. He did the least you’d expect a striker playing for Portugal to do. If he had done any less it would have been a poor performance.

His movement wasn't that good, he actually timed it wrong but was onside only because Varela is an extremely shite defender.

This trying to discredit every single little movement and touch is getting really silly now.
We can chuckle at the non touch situation, but your post is just daft.

well, if you say so then it must be true

Well he is not playing as badly as he was in the lead up to the tournament but I still think Portugal, just like United, would probably be better without him on the pitch.

Bruno's game just seems to lift when he is the main man as well.

He really complained to the ref after the game as well, hilarious

He really is a shameless cnut.

Good job he didn't get a touch on it as he'd have probably put it wide anyway.

I didn't watch the game, to be honest. Based on the official highlights video his movement (prior to the header) looks pretty good, but it doesn't show the entire build-up.

Probably the kind of person that won't allow his kids win any game.

I thought he didn't care who scored the goals. Apparently he is still trying to claim the goal. What a selfish character.

Its so funny to see his die hard supporters like Piers and Mark Goldbridge think he got a touch and is entitled to the goal.

The obsession and attention he receives is all getting a bit sad and pathetic at this point

According to some here, he is a great role model for kids. “Little jimmy, when you are working up the corporate ladder, remember to claim and steal credit for every achievements possible, even if your colleagues did all the work. Learn it well from your role model, CR7!”

Absolute cretin that guy.
I had a soft spot for Portugal for this WC but Ronaldo.. Just come on!

I'm fed up seeing pictures when any two objects that are far apart can be seen next to each other from a different angle.

The ball clearly doesn't change direction or spin. Just look at the pattern on the football and there's not even a minor blip in how it errr evolves?
