Fair point but I was genuinely close to switching it off an hour or so into it. A long winded film for any pay off / magic to occur in the final 20 mins or so.

Not Christmas themed but Oliver Twist seems to be on every Christmas and one of my favourite movies.
The obvious Christmas themed ones that I like are Home Alone 1 and 2 and Jingle all the way.

Muppet Christmas Carol is the goat of xmas movies.
Papillon on Paramount Network later. A simply fantastic film, must watch, even if it goes on past your bedtime.

The Tiny Tim gag was horrendous.
I love Scrooged but those two just don’t fit the bill.. or should I say Bill.
The plot looks the exact same as one of the movies from back in the day doesn't it?

My favourite Christmas films generally have very little to do with the holiday season itself.
