Agreed. There's no chance in signing the top talents. Maybe Ole was not even interested in the likes of De Ligt and Felix. It seems that he wants a British core :nervous:
The problem I see is that we could end up overpaying for players like Maguire (I don't rate him as high as others).

Sancho is the best we can get for a position we need to improve, but I wouldn't be surprised if James is going to rotate with Lingard and Mata there. Sadly, we have the same problem in our midfield. We are linked with players like Longstaff and Bakayoko when there are better options in the market for the first eleven.
 
At this point, I am just waiting for Solskjaer to announce at a press conference... "I'm happy with the squad that I've got....blah, blah,blah".....:rolleyes:
 
Real Sociedad has got 9 new players. They are all young! The club Ødegaard went to. So Januzaj and Ødegaard in the same team could be interesting.

I can most definitely see that happening, wouldn't be surprised if he was reading from a script given to him by Ed.

Emphasis on fitness, basics, fast attacking football, come 3rd game of the season and and we are struggling to break Crystal Palace down at home, Ole will come out and say 30 odd points in one season is not possible.

I am sick and tired of this puppets play, tell the fans what they need to hear and deliver 0.
 
It's obvious that Pogba doesn't want to be here, we should sell him and get the best possible deal. My "dream" is to invest that money in the best possible way. I don't understand why we are linked with "squad players" when we should be looking for top players for the first eleven.

There are talented players like Chiesa, Sancho, Havertz, etc that would improve our team, same with the likes of Eriksen, Koulibaly and others.

The problem I see is that we don't have a style of play or an attractive project to offer.
It seems that Ole is looking to build a team with a British core, so we can expect to overpaid for Maguire, Longstaff, etc.

So the dream is to build a great team, with a good football philosophy and an attractive style of play.

I really hope we end up signing the best available players for the positions we need.

It's clear that De Ligt and Sancho are the caf's dream transfers. But there are 2 positions that could change our style of play: CDM and CAM.

Would you prefer a young DM or someone with more experience?

Who do you rate as the better player (CAM) between Fernandes, Maddison, Eriksen, Havertz and Dybala... And who is unrealistic for that list?

IMO these are best players we can get in the main positions we need to improve:
De Gea
Wan Bissaka - Lindelof - Koulibaly - Shaw
Ndidi

Sancho - Martial - Rashford​

At the end of the day, they were just dream transfers (De Ligt, Sancho, Félix, Havertz, Dybala, etc).

It could have been a good transfer window if we manage to sign Fernandes/Eriksen.
 
Maybe people will learn their lesson next year and don't expect these kind of signings anymore.
