The Bosman List- players with 6months left on their contracts

Marouane Chamakh and Adam Johnson are both interesting prospects. Jole Cole will get his contract and the others are either past it, too injury prone or just shite and not worthy of consideration.

Bordeaux can't do anything about Chamakh's situation - he wanted to leave during the summer, said as much, and was even promised as much by the President only for him to go back on his word. We made a move but was re-buffed... Now he's going to leave on a free come the end of the season unless someone manufactures a move for him over this window.

has been linked a lot with arsenal... plus they have van persi out... so i wouldnt be shocked if they tried to push that through at xmas...

but bordeaux might decide as they are in the cl they want to keep him?

You can add Ledley King to this list (just turned 29).

His current contract expires this coming summer, but I'd imagine that he'll end up signing at least a 1 year extension ... although possibly on a pay-as-you-play basis.

I don't think he'll ever again be a starting regular again for Spurs due to his well-known knee problem, but no club will have a better CB squad cover-player than him.

It's a huge shame about his knee, but I'm still amazed at how well he continues to play even without being able to train fully in between games.

If anyone gets Adam Johnson on a free it will be an outstanding bit of business.

The transfer muppet in me thinks he could do a job for United. Not many quality left-footed young wingers round, never mind players that qualify as home-grown.

Agreed.

Any club able to steal J.Cole on a free would also be excellent business. Would love it to be United, will never happen though.

yes he hasnt been able to train properly for ages has he...

you have to wonder just how good he could have been if he had been fit - able to play a could of games a week and train +improve because he should just be reaching his peak...

Well we have been linked with him regularly. So you never know...

Would love to see who the Chief suggests out of that list?

That are realistic
I don't believe any of the ones we need are, who I'd pick are realisitic. As in those that can solve our left wing woes till the likes of Obertan, Tosic and possibly Nani if he stays around find their feet.

& those are Petrov, Cole or Johnson.

I don't see one single player there that is a realistic target and could become an addition to the squad. Why the hell would be want Adriano with his documented problems? The last thing this squad and SAF wants is that kind of player.

joe cole surely could do a job

i assume chelsea will do about the same though?

Those kinds of funds are better reserved for top class players, of which Joe Cole is not. He's a quality player no doubt. I believe Chelsea will be a bit more fiscal over wages paid to someone like Cole. If Cole is wise he'll wait until June and then examine the offers as I have no doubts City will toss a massive wage. It will depend on Ancelotti's assessment of what he wants in the first team as well as any potential transfer bans.

Exactly, why would they even consider selling? They're going for back-to-back Leagues, and are looking a quite decent show in the CL ATM.

Joe Cole would be a fantastic addition to our squad, but he's obviously going to resign for Chelsea.

Adam Johnson. We could do with more naturally left footed wingers. At the moment, we have none.Giggsy is more a central/left midfielder

Is Adam Johnson any better than Obertan, Tosic or sticking Welbeck on the left to aid his development?

Also is he any better than Nani or Park, to other established players floating around the squad competing for games?

One thing I personally want United to stop doing is this recent trend of stockpiling wide players. We've been purchasing decent young wide players for the past 18 months and we are already have too many to be fair to them. Last thing United need is another one in the same mould. Next signing has to be one that can go into the first team and establish themselves swiftly

He is what none them are though. A naturally left footed left side player. Many under estimate the importance of those. If a big club like us can mould him into a good one. He'd be a valuable asset.

I'd prefer this too tbh. It woudl greatly reduce the pressure and expectation on a player like Nani and IMO increase his chances of making it. For he wont be competing with a bonafide starter but fellow up comers to make the squads.

IMO it could be the reason why Nani was so good in his first year. He wasn't expected tp start games. Just be valuable cover.

I find it a bit odd that you would rate a player that is left-footed, maybe he could take penos too

A new Cole contract is all but signed, and it is my understanding that Ballack already has.

I think someone ought to take a chance on Adriano, I assume he is the crazily rated Inter striker of a couple of years ago in a same manner Micah Richards was.

Owen and RVN as two freebies up front with Rooney tucked in behind them, and sell Berba for a knock down £25 mill......FERGIE ARE YOU READING????

No one in their right mind is going to bid £25m for Berbatov.

I'd take £15m.

tbf chief's argument is that they were more 'predictable' not that they were more 'saveable' although to some that is the same thing (not quite though).

I disagreed with that point but let's just leave that one alone:)

English Premier League Bosman List - All The Players Available For Free This Summer - Goal.com

Of the Bosman English list posted on Goal.com/en just now, the players I noticed with just 6 months left that would appeal are Seamus Coleman and Elmander. The rest of the list looks like a pile of rubbish unless I have missed someone.

Klose looks like an interesting Bosman in Germany!

In France Taye Taiwo is on a free in the summer from Marseille. As is Auxerre's Valter Birsa and Rennes' Sylvain Marveaux!

From Italy Nesta, Pirlo, Seedorf, Del Piero, Inzaghi and Crespo all amongst those players who may be looking for work in July.

High profile Bosmans in Spain are Diego Castro of Sporting, Barcelona's rising star Thiago Alcantara and Real Madrid enforcer Mahamadou Diarra

Of all of those I wouldn't mind M Diarra on a free along with Elmander as our 4th striker instead of Mickey Owen! Someone will snap up Pirlo pretty fast too!!

Don't think anyone particularly interesting on that list. Perhaps we should look at Boswinga, Coleman, Zavon Hines, Meyler and Briggs but not sure if any of them would be good enough for us.

I see Thiago Alacantra is off the contract this summer, i think many team will be after him if Barcelona doesn't renew.
