Television The Blacklist

Just finished watching this. Some silly episodes here and there but overall it's entertaining as feck. Spader is amazing and tbh most of the performances are quite good.

Think I'd have preferred if Liz had remained dead though.

I want to be Raymond Reddington.

Me too!

Errrr she is dead isn't she???
Thanks for the spoiler bro!!

Finally finished it. Very predictable and boring ending, I'm disappointed.

Disappointed by the ending. Would've preferred if she had stayed dead, maybe it would have been a good point for them to finish the show in it's entirety.

Solomon's a brilliant character, hope he comes back. I didn't like how Scottie was conveniently revealed to be Tom's mum & Kirk is Keen's dad!! The director/writer probably had parent issues themselves.

iI think it's Kaplin acting alone, the comment she made about they couldn't do enough for the child, then the emotion on her face at the birth. The amount of time she was alone in the tent with Tom & the medics whilst Red was outside was long enough for her to sell the plan to them, the only way to get Liz free & clear of the situation was if Red & Solomon/The Cabal think she's dead.

Sidenote, Solomon is gonna be proper fecked up by Red next season I reckon

 brilliant!

Watched up to the mid-season break for season 4.

I'm getting a bit bored with this. Every season they face an incredible threat who threatens Red/Liz but they manage to survive. We still don't know how Red is connected to Liz & now we don't know what he said to Kirk to get him to spare his life. Just seems to be going in circles without any answers to questions. Even the blacklisters are getting boring.

Spader is still superb but I think they need to kill the secrecy & start revealing more details about Liz/Red. That or wrap the show up & bring it to an end.

Red told Kirk that Liz was his daughter in the last episode, and considering the character of Kirk the only thing I can imagine Red telling him that would stop him from killing both of them is that his wife is still alive.

Anybody still watches this? The season 4 finale was good

Been confirmed there will be a season 5

Thought it was meandering along at the start but since the 2nd break it's been very good. The whole Kaplan thing was a lot more interesting than I thought it would be.

The second part of the season with Kaplan being the baddie was excellent. Enjoyed it a lot more than the first part. Finale was superb.

Was nice to see Reddington lose his power & control for once.

Anyone still watching this? The latest episode was really surprising and honestly I'm not sure they can keep it as entertaining as it is now
Massive spoiler so don't click if you haven't seen it yet

Tom Keen was one of the most interesting characters

The last episode was very good (liked the end music :p), but this feels like the final season to me.

Will be interesting to see how it ends, I really hope that the fan theory:
Red is Liz's mum
doesn't prove to be correct :nervous:

I enjoyed the first season and then kind of forgot about it. Is it worth picking back up?

Yeah. Love James Spader

Seems to me that the current Reddington is Elizabeth's mother who underwent a sex change operation
Wow. That would be such a weird twist in their story. The father-daughter relationship was quite good.
I justed looked up this theory and it could really be true.

Woah. Never thought it was a prevalent theory. Will need to read up on all that.

I just based it off Red burning the real Red's bones with Elizabeth's grandfather present. My first thought was no way that happens unless the current Red is Liz's mother.

Caught up with season 5... finally they revealed something rather than ending on another cliffhanger!! Didn’t expect that tbh.

Looking forward to next season, which I reckon will be the last. Spader is brilliant.

I'm about 6 Eps into series 3 and this certainly is absorbing stuff. If anything, despite some of the comments above (the ones I've dared to read avoiding spoilers anyway), I'm watching it for the Elizabeth character, not because she's "fit". Tom could have his own show with Dembe … I'd watch that!

Take away: James Spader is an incredibly underrated actor.

Hope: the show doesn't drag itself out too long past it's natural conclusion, as most shows that start off well tend to.
