I want to post some quality rap songs, so they go in here.







 
I'm not a rap person but here's a few I like. (I have no idea what the difference between rap and hip-hop is so if one of these isn't rap, than it's news to me :p)











 
Was just thinking about it yesterday to make a thread where people recommend the best rap songs ever, preferably older schooling, so I could listen to some good shit without the shit in between. Not into rap that much to filter through it but I enjoy good music whatever the genre.

I didn't really give much thought to this though, just a flavour of the sort of tracks I've been playing recently which aren't new and haven't already been posted in the thread...

Some of my own:





A now for something with a harder edge but that tells a great story (always the best songs). First verse is kind of your usual rap about how hard a gangster he is, but then it takes a big swerve ball.



And last but certainly not least, a song I simply refer to as 'The Masterpiece'. I don't agree with everything he says and it's not all completely correct, but my god it is the definitive example of how rap can be used to tell a story. Even if you don't like it and think it's all a load of rubbish, you have to respect what he tried to do.

 
Nature of the Threat was an amazing track, shame he's pussied out now, but that first album was a thing of genius.
