The attempted murder of Robin van Persie

Considering Mings has done an even worse deliberate head stamp on another player previously, I'm amazed he's allowed to still play professional football.
Damn, which player? Nothing happened afterwards isn't it. No disciplinary actions, no, nadda, nothing

The Zlatan and Mings incident.
If I remember clearly, before that head stamp, both of them clashed earlier.
1) Mings deliberately get in Zlatan's way, when both are walking back towards to our half during goal kick. Ming get in front of him and stop.
2) Zlatan hated it and throw Mings away to the side, to the ground. It was comedic.
3) Then the head stamp happened.
4) Then Zlatan got his revenge by elbowing Ming's left face to the floor during our set piece.

I hadn't seen this before. My blood is boiling. What the heck! Acts like these should get 6 months bans. I don't mind harsh challenges if they're football related, but this had nothing to do with football. Absolute coward of a referee.

Serious question, is there a law regarding this?
Oops sorry, didn't know the whistle had gone. Yeah should have been red.

Search for 'Nelson Oliveira face injury' if you're brave enough.

Was it Walcott who went off with a bad concussion last season just from the ball hitting him in the face?

I didn't think much of it at the time but in hindsight it's quite scummy behaviour from Williams.

In general - off the ball violence is not treated nearly as serious as it should be in football. How often do you see player grabbing and pushing by the neck when squaring up, headbutts etc. I wouldn't be against automatic red cards or retrospective bans for any sort of off the ball scuffles.
