Linkin Park turning 'woke' must put a female vocalist in a lot of people's top 5, judging by threads on here.My top 5 artists have 2 female vocalists, 2 male vocalists and 1 no vocalist. I'm perfectly balanced.

I think this year wrapped is just rubbish compare to last year. I also don't have any podcast wrapped. Mi pretty sure I listened more than 1 podcast this year.Stupid question here guys do you have to listen to more then 2 podcasts for it to be added to your wrapped? Seeing on social everyone post there podcast wrapped stats I listen to 2 pods every day and no podcast stats showed up in my wrappred all I'm getting is the music.
I had your favourites Nirvana at number 4, but only remember listening to them a couple of times all year.I was surprised they didn't show up in my top 5 considering how much I've listened to them lately - first the new album and then all my favourites in a playlist. Then again Sum 41 and Within Temptation are there precisely because they released albums this year that I quite liked and listened to on repeat.
Actually Nightwish had one too, but I can't get past the mixing, so I just listened a lot to their older stuff (so many live versions).

So boring you forgot all the other times.
I don't get CharlieXCX
I'm very suspicious these stats are not right this year. My number 5 song is one I didn't listen to beyond a 2 week period, and there are multiple songs I know I listened to more. I had a look on separate spotify stats site and that song was 16th in the last 6 months, and not even in the top 20 for the past 12 months.
FixedTop 5 artists
1. Adolf
2. Hitler
3. Ed Sheeran
4. Megan Trainor
5. Alt J
6. Five
ffs. The state of youThey've got some great old songs, but yeah they did release their final album this year. Actually most of those listens were while I was writing up NBA Experiment posts, so now those two will be connected in my head forever.
I used to listen to The Rasmus when I did FM Experiment posts, so just looking at Football Manager makes me think of The Rasmus even if I haven't listened to them in many years.
Was it all the things I said? Are they running through your head?ffs. The state of you
I listened to an interview with her where she said statements such as:I don't get CharlieXCX
212 does absolutely slap though so I'll give you that as a top songNo idea what this says about my year;
If she did say that it's something that would put me off an artist, however I thought brat was great. And tbh I wouldn't even call it that accessible. If she wanted to make basic tiktok bops she could've, but the songs on brat are not exactly boiler plate in terms of song structure or production. Took me about 3 listens for it to finally click. Once they click though they're also easily quotable, clippable, etc.. so it does suit that market as well. I think the important thing is it isn't just first and foremost a throwaway catchy thing, it's just a bonus.I listened to an interview with her where she said statements such as:
"I have been using autotune so much that I don't think I can sing without it anymore"
"I make songs for the digital age, following the algorithm that studies say less to music that is popular to the new age of listeners"
To be fair in the interview she was talking about writing music for other artists but I assume she does it for her own too.If she did say that it's something that would put me off an artist, however I thought brat was great. “Chorus within the first 30 seconds. No weird self-indulgent intro… Hook at the top in the intro, maybe even start with the chorus, under three minutes. I think that radio songs should be two minutes, 20 [seconds]. Get in, get out, everybody just get on with your life, you know?”
Yeah it's different stuff for different people. I like both really. I can enjoy this (had never actually listened to her before brat) but I'll also love a 9 minute LCD Soundsystem song with 3 minutes of build-up. I think if you can appreciate all the different types of music, as long as it's well done, then you open up so much more for yourself. To be fair in the interview she was talking about writing music for other artists but I assume she does it for her own too.
But I'm not judging, I don't think I've heard any of her music. If people like it then good for them.
Those 3 songs AB did in the early 2010s - 212, 1991, Luxury were bangers. The streets will never forget.212 does absolutely slap though so I'll give you that as a top song
Miles Davis; Godchild was my most streamed song, followed by four Julia Holter tracks off the last album.
Favorite artists:
1. Max Richter
2. The Smile
3. DJ Sabrina
4. Julia Holter
5. Vampire Weekend
Solid year. Judging from the other entries on your list I should probably check out CHVRCHES.
