Music the annual spotify wrapped wink fest thread

How do you find it? I've been using a cracked version of Spotify if that matters

Every year it annoys me to an irrational degree that this is called an annual wrap, while leaving out the whole of December.

I'm very suspicious these stats are not right this year. My number 5 song is one I didn't listen to beyond a 2 week period, and there are multiple songs I know I listened to more. I had a look on separate spotify stats site and that song was 16th in the last 6 months, and not even in the top 20 for the past 12 months.

Are Sum41 still making music or do you still just really like wet-look hair gel?

They've got some great old songs, but yeah they did release their final album this year. Actually most of those listens were while I was writing up NBA Experiment posts, so now those two will be connected in my head forever.

I used to listen to The Rasmus when I did FM Experiment posts, so just looking at Football Manager makes me think of The Rasmus even if I haven't listened to them in many years.

Yeah my wrapped makes no sense. Last.fm is more accurate.

Artists

1. Mac Miller
2. Kendrick Lamar
3. Vampire Weekend
4. Charli xcx
5. Radiohead

Apparently I listened to a lot of Volbeat this year. 604 artists, 2500 songs, 27000 minutes.

Top were

Volbeat
Rammstein
Ghost
Machine Head
Metallica

Seems like an odd collection, but Metallica always find a way in there.

You still use Last.fm?! Is all your music in mp3s or something?

At least it's required all your scrobbles.
It's linked to my Spotify and I can actually change the dates to go from 1st Jan til today.

I've found a lot of good music using Last.fm, to be fair. Actually if I want to find new music today I sometimes still go to Last.fm and check "similar" (or whatever).
It's hard to find new stuff naturally these days. Spotify radio has turned to shit and just creates a playlist of stuff you already know.

I tried rate your music the other day but it kept crashing.

Just googling "bands similar to" works decently, though you might increasingly have to add "Reddit" to that as more and more websites are going to be AI shit. I never use Spotify radio, but I sometimes check the "fans also like" thing.

Yeah i basically always tack on reddit to my searches.

Your top 5 songs are in descending order of the number of letters (ignoring the feat., which is obviously the right thing to do).
What about X? The whole year is ruined and I'll need to start again.

Ah, that's cool. Seems to be much the same as the "similar to" and "bands like", though, but I guess that makes a whole lot of sense. I put in Within Temptation, and all the immediately surrounding bands are already in my playlist (or else I've checked out and didn't like). But it's always good with another resource.

I actually meant the amount of letters, but you almost made it true in that way too. But if Americans can make Sunday the first day of the week, you can bloody well make X the first letter of the alphabet.
Damn right, and make I come before H. And since I always do that before her already, I'm half way there.

3 female artists in my top 5 most listened to albums.
